Hi, I'm suman in this video i will show you how to convert ps2 to USB simply at home.
and you can save money from buying a new keyboard...just follow my video and change your old port.

I found that pretty much all the videos with this conversion are wrong. Use a volt meter to test for continuity. ( c=green, D=white G=black V=Red) usb colors to keyboard circuit board . Now mine has 5 pins (that is the keyboard circuit boar) Drain=sheild of USB/outside C=green D=white= G=black V=red ( now the word drain was spelled out on the pin. do not confuse with letter D.... ( drain, C, D, G, V) In the 5 wire case of mine The Round plug wiht 6 pins the 4 of 6 used. the 5th wire was the sheild around the plug ( Red to Red=V) ,( Yellow to Black=G ,) ( white to white=D) ,(Green to Green=C) ,(Drain to sheild) if present ,or bare wire or outside of usb or round plug. NOTE the sheild is around the Black,Green, White, Red wires and does not touch any of the wires only the outside casing of the usb male to usb female, same for Round 6 pin keyboard,Ps2.. This was tested with a multi-meter every different way possible. Also checked for wires connected within. No video made for money from me. I just get sick of wrong information listed on CZcams you lose. i wasted about 8 hours and seen multiple videos with the same wrong information. I also seen videos with all different ways. i have found this in several mass confusion youtube /videos. why is my question. It seems these follow with the same videos like the fake usb cord camera froma cell phone camera. yeah right. These are my acrual findings form a older HP keyboard 10/08/2004 date on circuit board 5187 REV:1.OA E1P/N:1504700100 found on the circuit board with a Five (5) pin plug. This is not a suman world is right or wrong remark. He makes nice videos. My point is to offer my findings from my key board with its age and identifications i found. Also, the facts are found with a multi-meter, volt-meter, ohm=meter... Using continuity test. Thanks Sumans World dude. I hope this helps My key board was purchased in the USA made in china. I could really imagin that the maufatures are using different methods or even different color wires. check out all electronics. No such thing as free energy either.
It's engineering level stuff. Don't trust anyone. Go back and forth with it before you blow something out. There are some smart people around. Took me some time to build OTG wires in something and I built several USB A, Micro USB power things for myself. I'm here on day one for getting hints. Firstly, I need to decipher what the wires are. It will be a Pico (pins) PS2 female circuit, where I plug any PS2 keyboard in. I must include level shifting 3.3v 5v on the data lines.

I would keep the PS2 connector and make a circuit board (adapter) from scratch instead. Some adapters which you can buy also work. I'm in a situation where I need PS2 keyboards connecting to micro controllers. Buying those now is insane, so I'm glad I had a couple around to begin with.

This what they showing in the video it work only with keyboard that controller support usb. Example with a old ibm model m it dont work. With a Steelseries 7g it work. Because the controller support usb. When you wanna build a converter you need example a rispberry pi pico.
Same keyboard, but didn't worked. Led blinked once, no detection of keyboard.
