I think they burial the death not deeper into the ground, so it could be raccoon and wolf's or city pigs dough into the death. back in laos today hmong dead body only buring 1 foot under ground, this is happened if they not buried the dead body very far away from the city or village. Maybe it's just the OG's way of calming there fear of the unknown because they were too superstitious to investigate to truth. So generations to generations it was told. Interesting.
