Dear Ms. Christina, I have a very serious question to ask you. I have completely repented to God and Jesus Christ. I even asked for discernment me about anything I also needed to repent for that I had literally forgotten about. He continues to show me and I repent again. I started having visions of The Kingdom of Heaven early last year. I've even seen Jesus' Magnificent White Horse. I am now 60 years old but I have been smoking cigarettes since I was 20. Is it a sin? Regarding your question about being a smoker for many years, you are right. The Bible does not mention smoking. The most we can do is infer principles from Scripture that may apply to smoking. One biblical principle is that we are not to allow ourselves to become "mastered " by anything. "All things are lawful for me, but all things are not helpful. "All things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any."
(1 Corinthians 6:12, in KJV). Dear Dana, smoking is addictive, due in large part to the presence of nicotine, which is a natural chemical in the tobacco plant 🪴. Are those who are addicted to nicotine being "mastered " by it? If so, then it is sin.
Another principle that may apply to smoking is that our bodies do not ultimately belong to us.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20, in KJV ). Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you , whom you have from God, and you are not your own?
Dear sister, many studies show that smoking is an unhealthy practice being a main cause of many diseases, such as cancer, heart diseases etc. There are many health consequences of smoking, dear one. Are smokers knowingly damaging their bodies? If so, then it is sin.
A third biblical principle is that all we do should be done for the glory of God. Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31, in KJV).
Can a smoker light up for the glory of God? If not, then it is sin.
Dear one, in the line of all these principles, it is believed smoking is sin. I pray you obey the voice of God then you stop smoking right away beloved. Look at all the other bad things you abandoned for the love of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, isn't amazing? And so, you should also let go your smoking 🚬 🚭. There is a demon attached to the cigarette dear, he is laughing at you, because you gave up all sins, but you are resisting one, smoking!!! Which means all demons have left except the one with cigarettes 🚬!! This demon is controlling you and believe me he knows what he is doing. The question is, do you love your cigarettes more than you love our LORD JESUS?? If not, then quit smoking,. You must win over this demon dear sister, i know it's not easy, but if you cry to the LORD, His Holy Spirit will help you. Let me help you to cast out this demon for good:
Stand up in front of a mirror, take all your cigarettes and all those stuff that come with, tell the LORD JESUS that you love Him more than you love your cigarettes, then, take the authority and power in the Name of JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth, command the demon of cigarettes and all evil spirits behind to get away of your life right now in JESUS'S Name, command the demon to go to the abbys and burn and never return. Amen.. Then, after, take all your cigarettes and everything else and throw them into garbage. Say goodbye to the cigarettes. Amen. Imagine if you miss Heaven with all the wonderful things that are await for us because of one thing "cigarettes" ?? Oh no! I will pray for you, sweet sister. The Holy Spirit helped me to overcome lots of bad things, and now I am at peace in waiting for our blessed hope, dear. He can do this to you, too. Remember we don't have tomorrow...things are happening very rapidly and many will wish to have more time for repentance but it will be too late. Be blessed abundantly.
