In this 4th episode, dancers of SDN's performing group share their experiences, anecdotes and instances that have motivated them, and kept the momentum going...!
Tapasya - the training sessions, is a series of videos that will be published on a monthly basis (as episodes) on the last day of every month.
The students featuring in Tapasya series have about 6-8 classes every month. Each episode of Tapasya is a cumulative overview of what is taught to them during the course of the month.
Along with the training sessions of the children, Tapasya also holds inputs on teaching techniques from Smt. Sheela Unnikrishnan and useful tips from the regular performers of Sridevi Nrithyalaya.

Since SDN is run by SRIDEVI NRITHYALAYA TRUST, all the productions of SDN, be it music or dance, become intellectual property of the Trust. Sridevi Nrithyalaya Trust (SDNT) owns all the productions and will not allow anyone to download or use SDN videos/audios, even if it is meant for non-commercial purposes.
With able legal guidance, our team works meticulously in curbing audios/videos of Sridevi Nrithyalaya that have been used in unauthorized ways and uploaded on social media. Though we do not put up copyright declarations in all our videos, we strictly adhere to legal formalities and procedures regarding copyrights.
We work hard and spend a good time and amount of our resources to produce our music and dance videos. They are produced and uploaded on our social platforms solely to take our art to all those rasikas around the globe who are unable to reach us in person to enjoy SDN's art live.
It is not about 'misuse' or 'trying to support' our dance and audio productions by just giving credits. Art is for all, for sure. Our productions uploaded on social media platforms are for the art lovers worldwide to WATCH and ENJOY but definitely not for copying or reproducing without SDNT's authorisation.
SDNT has unanimously arrived at this decision and therefore, SDN or any individual from SDN would not be able to grant anyone permission to reproduce any of our works.
All the productions of Sridevi Nrithyalaya are intellectual properties (Aural & Visual) of SRIDEVI NRITHYALAYA TRUST solely. Any person or channel infringing our copyright policies (which are mentioned in the description box in our CZcams videos) will be given a 'copyright strike' which we might not be able to redeem at any cost.
really awesome its mind blowing made me so inspired .. really they r the lucky charms to be a part of SDN family. as i been part of SDN family as a fan and disciple of sheela mam. i proudly say iam also the dancer i been part of ART, love u lottssss ad lottsss. superb guru. i love SDN family lots. I am a bhartanatyam dancer and my biggest motivation is harinie Akka..... I am following her from 2 years her nritta her aramandi her expression and her stamina are such big goals.... And of course the art is the biggest inspiration which had me a disciple of this form from the past decade.... Love you Harinie Akka and SDN❤

Mam, what is your opinion on moderenising classical dance. I mean I love dancing and I don't have a professional training except for basics and few mudras. Is it okay to just dance using them and improvising with few movements.

Really Sridevi Nrityalaya is doing a very good job. I have some idea about classical dance. But I really don't know that this Nrityalaya is making the students to learn dance in this way. Really superrrrrrrb. You are promoting our classical dance in a systematic way. Through CZcams we came to know about you. Not only small kids, but youngsters are also interested.
How much difficult to make the small kids to learn dance. But you are doing a good job. I really appreciate you. I now I am habituated to watch all your videos.

One thing that I have learnt from this group is NO ONE TRIES TO OUT DO OTHERS . They just do what they are asked of . One difficult issue that I face is when codancers are in a race to outdo others . How do we manage that ?
