Looking at my healthy habits that I do daily, weekly and monthly, I've realised that something is missing. Now that I'm settled for the forseeable future I am going to be systematically going through my routines and reshaping them. I move for my mental health, and of course physical health. So today we're starting with creating new routines for a happy healthy life, my fitness journey.

Motion is lotion!! I’m a former high school PE teacher, athlete, and coach who is now moving into the twilight years of my life. I thought I would just add in here that motion in one’s younger years really has lasting impact on one’s ‘golden years’. I agree with you, Immy, it’s so important to find activities and routines that work for us as an individual, and to not get caught up in trends or hype that may suit others but may not be our thing. We all move differently. Please keep us posted on your marathon training. When is the event? Sending you tonnes of encouragement!! I am stoked for you!! Ⓜary💕🏃🏻‍♀

Immy, your content inspires me… here’s my story. Late last Fall, not long after you moved to The US, you posted an invite on IG to join in your “100 Day Outdoor Movement Challenge”. On Oct. 29/22 I accepted this challenge with unwavering enthusiasm and rigorous determination. This invite and this inspiration was the exact thing that I needed as we headed into the cold and dark winter season. SUCCESS… I stuck with it and completed Day 100 on Feb 5. I felt jubilant for moving my body for 100 days, especially on days when I got home late from work and had very little free time. Since then I have carried on and I am going for “A Year of Outdoor Movement”… currently I’m on Day 194. I’m not perfect, I have missed 8 days of outdoor movement during the past (almost) seven months, but I’m not gonna dwell on slight imperfections or hiccups in my routine. With winter behind us, the lakes have thawed and the wild swimming season has begun. Now things will become easier for me as I am passionate about wild swimming, foraging, walking, cycling, and working in our yard and garden. Thanks, Immy, for the invite and the inspiration. Stay tuned… “1 Year of Outdoor Movement” will be up on for me Oct 29 of this year. ALSO, I must say that with all this daily activity… I am really enjoying baking and eating some occasional treats such as your Vanilla Scones, Pecan Coffee Vanilla Brownies, and Welsh Cakes. Your inspire me… TYSM!! Ⓜary💕💦🏊‍♀

This new series is amazing! I have been struggling so much sticking to my routines even though I know I feel better when I’m on the ball with them…This is so motivating and made me think about why I do the things in my routine so that they have a purpose. I feel like that makes it easier to actually implement them😊

I started doing yoga consistently during the pandemic, generally about 20 minutes, most mornings. I had to take some breaks due to traumas and illness, but I have been doing it consistently for several months now. Key for me is also not having to think too much about it, so I generally pick a youtube video (often the night before) and follow along. I also have a few fallbacks, so to speak, videos that are 5 or 10 minutes long, for days when I'm in a rush or feel tired.

  • @vanessalaughtland4417

I'd love to see more marathon training content! I'd love to do one in the future, having done a 10k in the past, but I also got shin splints so I feel like your content on the subject would be really relatable!

This was such an amazing and inspiring video! I've never worked out or been involved in sports so my life's been pretty sedentary, but getting fit, being able to run and move my body and be strong is something I've always wanted.
A lot of the reasons you gave for working out are things which I think of as well! I'm just trying to figure out how I can reach my fitness goals and seeing this really helped

I need to create a routine. Since retiring I’ve not been very routine oriented but so busy a lot of the time. I attend Fitbody Boot camp 3 or 4 times a week and I indoor rock climb once per week. I walk my dogs. I used to “run”, really jog, but my knees don’t like it. I want to create a routine of drinking my water again, still bootcamp, yoga and meditation. Thanks for your inspiration.

i made a new years resolution TEN YEARS AGO to mediate do an hour of yoga and an hour of exercise a day every day ive never missed a day i tracked my calorie intake for 12 months as i eat seasonally and worked out if i did this every day i maintained a 18.5 BMI with wiggle room for vegan treats in my case nuts nuts nuts as an introvert i have been a member of so many gyms and it felt like another job as a working lone parent it was too time consuming whereas exercise at home involves no travel and no other people i am a professional sleeper its my favorite activity so i hopefully wake when my body has finished with sleep then i pee get washed and brushed and return to bed to meditate for as long as i need sometimes all day then i start bed yoga as a bony human yoga mats are not enough after yoga i space my exercise in and around my daily chores read everyday from my 16 current reads then its back to bed to rinse and repeat im a creature of habit always have been as a lone parent theres no other way to complete everything without good routines for everyone and everyone knows what to expect i played netball and hockey too even with snow on the ground we were sent out to play or do cross country love to hear more about your trainng about anything you do sista xx
