    Actually Ennoshita was more disappointed about his reaction and not about the team's reaction. Just like the rest of the team, Ennoshita's first reaction to seeing Daichi was relief. It's in 27:15 of your reaction. Then when he had a moment to himself in the bathroom, he was being hard on himself. He was saying like "Yeah i did my best, and we won. But i failed most of the game and only received better at the end. That's not enough." And he's disappointed at himself because he's relieved he doesn't have to lead the team unto the next stage where it will undoubtedly be more difficult against Date Tech or Seijoh. Overall, he knows he fought bravely, but he's realizing that his skill level and mental fortitude are not yet ready to actually be Karasuno's captain. He has a lot of growing to do since the 3rd yrs will leave next year.

  • @BleydTorvall
    @BleydTorvall Před 27 dny +21

    Tanaka's "1 year away" line was a pretty big compliment really. Ennoshita is 1 year younger than Daichi, so being 1 year away means he's on the same trajectory that Daichi was on as a second year player.

      I also like Takeru's comment towards the end outside of the building (Takeru, the Little Giant on Wakunon, the pink team).
      He met eyes with Hinata mid-air and knew how Hinata was blocking. So in a sense, Takeru honed his instinct a bit more - he was able to read a play more precisely - which is an unlock for him, and he was exited to test his senses more against strong opponents...but he can't...because his team lost, and they are out of the tournament. He can only go back to his own team's gym and practice as usual. Of course that's not the same though. You want to test your new skills/techniques/plays against strong opponents. I think that's how it is in every sport. You learn something new, or on a whim figure something out, become better, and you want to test if it would work against a strong opponent.
      So even though Takeru's team lost - they are The Losers - Takeru gained/won something from it - a realization, a stronger game sense, it made him a better player. That doesn't apply to the whole team, but it applies to HIM, to Takeru. He lost the match, but gained something. I thought I'd add this to the discussion. Thanks for reading.

    Tsukki might not be an emotional person, but I think he is emotionally intelligent that he knew Yamaguchi needed some space and I don't think he got disappointed at Yamaguchi. I think he felt bad and him just giving Yamaguchi a towel because he is not showy or vocal is his way of comforting Yamaguchi. Might not be effective lol but it's the thought that counts haha.

    I think it's a big misconception that ennoshita was sad that his teammates were so happy to see daichi, that he wasn't acknowledged after the game and that he won't get to play again. When they first see daichi, ennoshita smiles, seeing him and immediately sighs in releif. As far as acknowledgement goes the entire team ran to him the second they won and celebrated him as the hero, he got a "nice receive" from both daichi and Nishinoya, and the entire time he was in, was only given praise from the entire team for how well he's performed. I think the emotion we see from him in the end was a mix of joy that him coming back and working hard led to this moment, but also wishing that he didn't run away so he could have done more. I think all of his emotion was solely focused on that and had nothing to do with his teammates. It seemed like he was the most relieved that daichi returned

    I’ve always thought that after the match Ennoshita was relieved that Daichi came back and he wouldn’t have to fill in for him again. He has given up before and even though he knows that was the wrong decision and he very much regretted it, it still comes natural to him being on the bench and “playing it safe”. He was frustrated with himself when he felt relieved and thought that he should be more driven to be in matches again and grasp every chance he gets.
    I feel that people who are used to give up and run away, develop a habit doing it and they have to put up a fight against their thought process if they want to change. That’s what we see here in my opinion.

    in defense of Ukai, I think it is still in the middle of the match and he did not have time to fully assess Yamaguchi's mental state.
    plus, Yamaguchi has not expressed his resolve yet. I think it would be worse if he forced Yamaguchi out, he did the jump, but still failed.
    It might crumble him completely. I don't think Ukai didn't put him in again out of anger or mistrust, he's probably worried. Better be careful than sorry.

    I don't think Tsukishima is disappointed in Yamaguchi at all (at least I didn't see it like that) I think he's all too aware of how things can hold you back and make you doubt yourself and the things you do. i would have to say, that Wakunan was one of the teams, that i was lowkey rooting for..this match had me on the edge. Like there are no "bad" teams in Haikyuu. There isn't a concept of good and evil in this show. And when both teams give it their all, i kinda start to get wonky about whom i m supporting. This match was no exception. Wakunan was such a wholesome team. None of them were monsters like you would see in a powerhouse team. They were all good players, led by a good captain and they all worked well together, and all in all were super wholesome.

    Regarding Ennoshita's bathroom scene, I think he was yelling at himself and reminding himself of the struggles he had in the game to make sure the victory didn't go to his head and cause him to get complacent. He saw what he could achieve with the team, and needed to make sure he continued to give it his all so he'd get there and not let the team down next season.

  • @LetTheBodyFall
    @LetTheBodyFall Před 26 dny +1

    I think Ennoshita's self talk at the end was more like him being angry at his complacency, like perhaps the moment he saw Daichi was okay he might have thought "oh god I won't have to go through something that frightening again" which was a blow to the confidence that he was building during that match and reliving the moment he "ran away" during the grueling practice Ukai senior put them through. I think that's why he said "don't you dare relax now".

    I think not use yamaguqi because its in the match final and the team not stable ,if you let him in ,serve ok then ok ,serve fail then get him more damage and lose the match
