Great use of space. With this footprint you could have gone with a three bedroom with pokey rooms but you’ve opted for some luxury and spaciousness. What a master suite! A good butcher block island would be just the thing for that kitchen! Some minor tweaking of the laundry room would allow for outdoor coats on boots .

I'd open up for cathedral ceiling in great room. Add window at top for more light from above. Love all the windows. I would remove the fireplace and instead have a gas heater to the side (personal preference). This would allow for tv space. Switch the laundry with hall bathroom (unless that increases cost). Define or section off some master bedroom space for office and have door going to outside, maybe just put a screen and have it jut out a tad. I'd remove the tub. Shower is all that's needed (add that space for office use or linen closet. Could have shower in back bathroom where tub is and replace shower in hall bathroom with linen closet. And I'd have an enclosed causeway from laundry to a garage. Add island as others said. Could shrink kitchen some so wall is in same plane is second bedroom wall or in same plane as front of appliances. Refrigerator should be closer to stove and cabinets to reduce walking back and forth when cooking.

I'm with you on removing the fireplace to make room for a TV at a sensible height! The kitchen could be shrunk, maybe making it a U-shape to retain the amount of counter space. Adjacent to or part of an expanded laundry room could be a pantry. That "tub in a shower" arrangement is a fad that won't last. If you must have a tub, have it built in and not freestanding. Otherwise, having a shower stall might free some space for a tall storage cabinet.
