I understand where you're coming from Andrew. I too did a lot of work on my house, saved a ton of money as well, and living here in the U.S.A, that kind of savings go a looong way. My siblings and I did the same in New Jersey a decade ago, by doing over 90% of the work ourselves, the house passed 3 grueling inspections, and sold for more that we expected. I can also imagine people are looking at the market value, or potential market value of your house, and use that against you. As long as you know you did not sell drugs, or steal to get the money used to build it, your conscience is clear.Best of luck in the upcoming elecions.
