We need more people like him not less :-(
I hope people like him have inspired many to pursue their passions.
i can sense his kindness and love for plants… thank you for sharing a little bit of mr chanin’s life with us
Hello, I,m from Thailand . I'm pretty sure that a lot of people have been missing him. It would be an honor to share your video to the Thai Cactus and succulent communities. Our groups are getting bigger and bigger these day. I would love to share this if you don't mind. Thank You so much.
Feel free to share. I would love that; and I think the community there will appreciate that. I am also getting the previous episode translated in Thai, which I think should help, but it's such a complex language-on top of the botanical nomenclature and botany terms, that it will take about two weeks for them to get the subtitles in. But feel free to share. Thank you.
Hello there Summer and Mrwaigon from Toronto Canada. I just want to ask if there are any sellers on Ebay . I live those hybrids .
So glad that part of Chanin's collection is going to be displayed at Sirikit BG and shared with the public. It is a lovely homage and, cannot help but imagine, that someone with such a passion, would be proud of that.
Huge plant lover and very knowledgeable man . RIP 🙏
I'd like to go back to thailand. They really grow beautiful plants and trees.
Lovely that you have this record of his love of plants & his willingness to share his knowledge
So young, terrible news, privilege you got to share him with us, his legend will live on through textbooks, plants and memories.
What I appreciate about you, Summer, is your genuine desire to esteem others better than yourself. You bring so many of the world’s unknown wise and caring sentinels of our green cohabitants on this planet to the forefront. I truly enjoyed meeting Chanin and watching this very personal side of three individuals fellowshipping over their passion.
So inspiring. You and all whose lives were touched by the gift of his presence are in my prayers. 💚
Thanks so much for your sentiments. I share with people that what gets me out of bed every morning is not what I know, but what I don't know, and that's one of the ways how we cultivate an engaging and inspirational life. I'm so pleased this channel can be a platform to share my and others passion; and pleased that We could... In some small way... Document Chanin's passion before he passed from this Earth.
I love that he was wearing a plant shirt of one of the varieties he pointed out :D
It had a great phrase on the back too; I made sure to include it in another episode edit.
My deepest condolences to his family and friends. May he RIP
Your energy is truly infectious that you got him to talk about his passion. He will truly appreciate this from heaven above 🌿🍃 thank you Summer, condolence to his family 🙏🏻
This is the first time l am seeing such a large variety of plants. They are beautiful and rare. Thanks for sharing.
As someone obsessed with caudiciforms/caudex plants, I'm always rewatching this video.
Wow i love how everyone pulled those complicated plant names right out of the air! you can really sense the love for nature! thanks so much!
This was fascinating! So many varieties...just AWESOME and these guys know so much and what I really like is that they enjoy sharing the KNOWLEDGE with such ENTHUSIASM! Thank you HOME and CHANIN! So happy you were able to meet CHANIN before he passed, what a beautiful tribute to his work and memory! Thank you Summer🌵
By far my favorite episode. So many plants I haven’t seen before and so many I have added to my wish list. Loved all the Atrophytum. This was such a thoughtful and meaningful video for your late friend and his family.
I'm not ready for all the emotions in this, RIP and may he be in a better place.
I like to believe that when we pass and get to heaven. We're allowed to paint our own canvas. Kind of like the movie What Dreams May Come. Although I don't like the part about suicides. I believe if we are so tortured in life we may get a second chance at it. When you say in a better place I pray we get to enjoy the thing's we're truely passionate about in life. We're surrounded by those we love. May he be among all of the thing's and people that brought him so much joy and happiness. 🙏 🌵🌸🌿
RIP Chanin. Sharing his love with you Summer. So touching.
A great plant lover. Well conversant with plant world. Really miss you !
Rest in peace Chanin. Thank you for sharing this with us. My condolences to your dear friend.
i just noticed this was filmed last year. Its mind boggling to take it in, cant wait to join you in the upcoming adventure Summer! too bad your videos end, every week its like i want like an a day-long 💚
I really love this video with Home and Dr. Chanin. They're cool to be with when you're scouring plant markets. I'm amazed at Dr. Chanin to identity these plants at a drop of a hat. It's such a shame that the plant world lost him too soon. Also, It's my first time to see so many kinds of euphorbia. The only ones I know are those huges ones that had been a rave years ago. They've become miniatured as i saw in your past videos. The Thais really are amazing when it comes to plants. I love watching videos of their fish market too and it also makes me think they really give importance to both agriculture and aquaculture to produce such amazing plants (and fishes). Thanks for this video. Looking forward for the next one.
Thanks for this episode. He was such an enthusiast.
And thank you for letting us come along with you guys!!!
Amazing CnS & caudex plants shop, marvelous plants. 😍
Thailand breeders are one of the best.
From Philippines, thank you for sharing this video.
May his soul rest in peace.
Hope all his hard work and collections goes to someone as passionate as him.
Come to think of this, life is so fragile.
Summer, thanks for remembering someone like him.
He mentioned Paraguay 🇵🇾 ❤️ I love how plants make people know we exist
Euphorbias are amazing!
He seems like he was a kind person.

Hello ... I have a Wonderful collection of succulents. I grow many from seed. I have several friends in Chaingmai , Thailand and other provinces . I would love to share your video in our plant groups. I did not want to share without permission from you , Dear Summer .
Thank you for All the Wonderful videos . I love this one so much ❤️✌️🥰
I love how he said kalanchoe! There’s always so many who say it differently & I like how he pronounced it!
So far, that is one of my favorite videos that you've made. How extraordinarily knowledgeable that man was, what a great loss. But not going to lie - who else besides me gets excited when they talk about a plant that's already in your collection? 😄😄
Glad you enjoyed so much. And i think lots of folks like to see plants they are familiar with and have!
Beautiful tribute to Chanin!! May he rest in peace.

Wow! Just found this video, wonderful information being told to us by some very knowledgeable people.
So interesting. I'm so glad that Chanin Thorut's enthusiasm for the plants made him overcome any shyness about being on camera since the video was really enriched by the details about the plants that he could share. This series has been very special Summer and will be remembered.
Again, my heartfelt condolences to Chanin Thorut's family, friends, and colleagues on his passing. One day I hope to visit Thailand and see some of his collection on display as you mentioned at the end of the video.

What a gentle and kind man, and a wealth of information. I didn't realize till the end (missed beginning) and realized with sadness that he had passed. So much information also.
That was such a great episode and it feels really weird to watch this man knowing he died a few days later, it is very touching, thanks for sharing Summer!
My pleasure. I'm so glad we could in some small way capture a piece of his passion
Whenever I travelThailand I usually spend my whole time visiting plant nurseries. Thai people are real artists and this is clearly reflected on their love to plants and creating colors and hybridization.
❤️ it's amazing how you guys conversed, like talking about your own family matters, thanks and may him RIP
Amazing 👍
My condolences to family and friends. Thank everyone involved in bringing such a beautiful collection of plants and sharing.

So sad such a brilliant expert and plant lover left us untimely 😢 May he RIP! Thank you Summer and the team. Very informative and cool video ❤️
So great to see Chanin... he was such a great source of info on plants and cultivation. He got me hooked collecting Dyckia after seeing his hybrids on the dyckiabrazil blog. Many thanks for sharing.
HOLD ME BACK! This is my idea of heaven. I’d want to bring them all home.
Thailand is like my country... Take care Mam always
My Ariocarpus were all ordered from Miles To Go in Arizona. I had them all planted in mineral soil (basically sand and granite dust) , sitting in bright sunlight for at least 4hrs. daily. Water only late May through end of September once a month. Fertilize 1/4 label directions wit synthetic only once or twice a growing season. Mine grew quickly! Patience is key!😉👍
Im been watch ur first vid about ur houseplants and this time I decided to follow you... R.I.P to you great man
I'm absolutely jealous yet inspired..
My kind of heaven!
Wowwwwww!beautiful
I recently started to watch your videos...all videos giving much positive vibes ,tnks
very informative video about cacti species, thank you. It was very interesting.
That was an amazing video! An extra thank you to all of you that helped make it too! We were recognising some plants on our list too 😆 I still find it all so fascinating about just how crazy it is how species differ so much from one another and always love the mutations and hybrids. I often joke with my partner saying the plants got her too because even she’s started a list and collection. She’s taken to variegated plants and cacti, even managed to grow a few heavily variegated ones. Now we are literally waiting for them to colour more 🤞 don’t want those babies being total vampires haha
That's my dream place! Never actually been there, but I've imported from Thailand my all time favorite plant, E. abdelkuri!
Just saw this and missing him so much. RIP my friend.
Reluctant to talk on camera then get him among the plants and watch him go. It is so beautiful that you were able to capture and share this wonderful man with the world!
Enjoyed this immensely!
