Every QR code can have an error correction up to 30%. This means 30% of the QR code (excluding the corner elements) can be removed and the QR code is still working. We can put a logo image on the QR code that covers up to 30%.
This tutorial is gold! Thank you so much🙏💓 The only helpful tutorial that I found after half an hour of looking through nonsensical other youtube videos.
Is there a way to change how it shows up on the phone.. for instance opening a URL instead of showing the address.. and adding some space between the fields on a business card?
what is your goal for the art? If it's to sell like on a website then you would do the same process by inputting the website link when creating the code through Adobe InDesign.
I'm pulling my hair out trying to union the whole QR code in Illustrator. It won't unionize every square, only some that are next to each other. Anyone experience that?
@@DefyGravity Thanks for responding. I have it grouped but still no luck. I'm probably missing some tiny detail in workspace configuration or something
@@DefyGravity Basically it will union like 4 boxes to each other in little island clusters. So when the operation is over, I have maybe 35 paths where it used to be 128.

Omg ! So much easier than I thought! Do they have to be square?
so how can i find this plugin
Which plugin?
No plug-in needed. it's a native function within InDesign.
@@DefyGravity I feel stupid not knowing it existed. Sure it would be useful if native also in AI, but...
how can i add that Generate QR Code Object in my Illustrator ?
Check this page out: softmatic.com/manual/qraiext/
I've never used softmatic, but I've seen people promoting it. Let me know how it goes.
I really like it. Can you make product packaging, please?
I've had many ideas, including packaging, product mock-ups, and 3D visualizations... the main problem has been time.
How to change the shape of the qr code and the dots within the code?

When you paste the QR code in Illustrator, use Command/Control A to select all the little squares and then use Command/Control G to group them all
Alternatively, you can draw a square with the select tool around the QR code and then use Command/Control + G to group them
