But I do believe there are unexplored depths to the Dark Side, and that the Jedi only had a small part of the story. But like count dooku, he joined the dark side not for the darkness itself, but for the freedom and lack of restrictions to the farce that the jedi kept, so i agree with you. I honestly feel like the modern society really influences women to have more INFP tendencies like feeling like misfits relating to external/body facets, being overly apologetic, feeling like they cannot express feelings or share their perspectives well, keeping the power hidden away inside and not feeling like they can be more assertive about it. INFPs can get shit done like everyone else and sometimes better with those perfectionist tendencies but they still get ignored and outcast and its perceived as ok. There is also the factor that INFPs feel like it is better to listen to everyones perspectives and take it all in before making a final claim so they are quite and listen more and are often ignored in the modern world because of it, until people come to really learn about what they are capable of. INFPs can't just walk in and influence a room it takes time to build up to that but when they do speak its more comprehensive and considerate of everyone present and based on a value system. I value all of these qualities but I can also see how they might make an INFP feel dejected if they are not strong in self love and self appreciation
WELL SAID MA’MN! Love it! Yeah I have a BIG distaste for what society places on everyone for what is perceived as “normal” (not a fan of that word). It’s so true that INFPs have the ability to do / create such impactful things, but time and time again are quickly rejected of their ideas upfront simply because that other person making the comment can’t see the vision since it’s usually so out there and abstract. With being hung up on things like criticism and fighting perfectionistic tendencies, this can create the “win environment” for the majority trying to repress that INFP individual which is extremely unfortunate... It still can affect me where others will team up on my thoughts (now a days I try to keep my passions more to myself and just DO them which helps to keep moving - once that “thing” is created then they can’t stop it beforehand). Funny because I finally just made a video that I’ve wanted to make from starting CZcams “On being an INFP Male” (editing / posting tomorrow). In there, I do take the video towards all those stereotypes that have always affected me personally. Being an INFP male is a struggle due to a lot of the preferences and actions we do are perceived as more “feminine” so everyday life of wanting to just be myself can come with waves of negative criticism because I’m not acting “stereotypical manly” 100% of the time. I “understand” where these surface level comments come from (this gives me the knowledge to ignore / keep going) with them and it’s largely due in part to all the mass confusion that society has beat in our heads. @@INFPHD I am a woman. I agree the stereotypes of society apply to everyone and pretty much everyone feels victim to them at some level in some way. I love children and the elderly because all these silly limitations we all put on ourselves simply seems to not matter to them, its a choice for them to matter or not and for some reason only those age groups seems to be the best at not being influenced. I wake up everyday thinking am I an in the mood to be a child today or an old woman who is tired of the world but still somehow charmed by it. So far it has been the best way to embrace life. Some days I swing from old to young and young to old in the matter of minutes but that only makes the end of the day feel like I lived ten lifetimes and that has been beautiful to see as well. Sorry about that Himani (edited previous comment to reflect) the image is obviously small so to the confusion. Yeah I’m a big fan too of watching children and how they have yet to be confused by societies expectations. Obviously when they grow into the teenage years and start really becoming their own person where the real world can grab them closer is when that strong amount of confusion and sometimes depression sets in because they were used to doing their own thing which can be construed as not ok. Raising a 10 year old and I super enjoy seeing her do those creative things where I make sure to give her full freedom on. I do from time to time reminisce on the “simpler times” where that’s just not the “now reality” but it helps me to keep the thought of personal freedom close to home. We can get to more of those self freedom states it just takes a large hill to climb and criticism fog to push through but I feel it’s worth it!
I'm always insecure because I can't fit in... but now i think, i think i gained a lot of confidence and I don't really care if i don't fit in anymore. I'm just gonna be myself :)

Being an infp is the most painful yet riveting thing ever. Some nights I'd cry myself to sleep wondering why I'm like this, other nights I just enjoy being lost in my own thoughts. Hell, I even enjoy crying sometimes LOL Side note; while I absolutely adore all of these characters, do people actually find INFPs irl "cute?" I agree with creepy and weird but "cute" never crossed my mind lol

I know Dany can be controversial In terms of her type, but in the books at least, she's infp. She spends most of her time alone reflecting, well into the series. When she does have to play political games she's far less than great at it. She's interested in art and George, an infp himself has spoken through her directly a few times. I find stuff he's said in interviews parroted in Dany's monologues. This isn't present for many other characters. She's incredibly idealistic and yet wise, she only wants to do good but gets tied up in the extroverted thinking associated with good rulers. She does her best work creating plans alone behind the scenes, and acting them out. Her decisions are always preluded by a statement on how she pondered about it on her own first. Not to mention her immense empathy. Shes portrayed as awkward and nearly invisible within her own story early on. Only magical dream intervention gave her the strength to adapt to the dothraki lifestyle. I could go on and on...
Awesome depiction Paul!! Yeah Dany is tug-o-war’d pretty big in the MBTI world with what type people feel she is. I agree that there are many types in the series that she can come across as, but as can we in real life. I personally have been in Management roles for many years and even though it was an extremely stressful atmosphere for me I had to adapt and fill the role which was typically far from my preferences on a daily basis. During that time I would indeed come off more ESTJ etc, but to the core I know what / who I am. I like how you picked many parts out that can be missed from the many scenes of her dominate leadership role she was born into. It’s commonly said that INFP’s should avoid management, supervision, salesmen, etc type career paths - it doesn’t mean we can do them or be good at them it just means you are probably just going to have to work a little harder in your scary non preferred functions to succeed. If done then you actually can come out a more well rounded developed individual. Making these types of videos I know is opening a door to opinions which have come in and that’s completely understandable. I did have a selection process outside of just “me” picking them, but yeah the main point was mostly speaking through the selected clips I found to which I related to. Hope you’re doing good man! Everyone is well rounded, and adapts when necessary, its Dany's whole arc being able to turn around her circumstances. I really enjoy her character for this reason, and I hope there will be more powerful infp's shown in the future!
Williams idk it seems that you got seduced by the POV trap. Dany is way more empathetic in the books, but she's also dwelling with her dark impulses all the time. To a point where she can detach herself from the bad stuff she and her dragons do. Is interesting to think Dany as a dark infp but idk..I see Sansa more like an INFP. She's more dreamy and escapes her own fantasies and idealized world of good and kindness.
@@LadyLilith1015 Sansa definitely fits the description of an INFP, I never thought of that! But we have to take in consideration that her dreamy state was in her early teens when most girls are kind of dreamy when it comes to guys, and on top of that she was very sheltered growing up and didn't know any different than kindness from others. I,as an INFP, never related to her, but did to Dany. I believe Dany is INFP because fictional characters I relate to almost always end up being INFP. INFP's are not always rainbows and sunshine, especially if we are unhealthy. Everybody has some kind of dark side, especially if they had troubled childhood. So I believe Dany as an INFP can have dark side and be conflicted. Also, knowing that she has some higher purpose could lead to her being able to detach when she is doing something unethical because she knows it's necessary..

I've read somewhere that one of the INFJ negative traits is paranoia and thus when they believe that someone is going to betray them, the dread and pressure becomes reality, like the self fullfiling prophesy. And Dany has a lot of prophesies that makes her insecure and paranoid. And with Sansa, while yes she was dreamy and romantic when she was younger, she still is in her current state. Is part of her personality and mind pattern. The show made it seem like unnecessary and immature, because she never seems to go back to her love for arts and songs, they erased so much of her 😭 it breaks my heart. Perhaps she could also be an ISFP or ISFJ, too. So I'm not sure if I can cathegorize her entirely as an INFP, but she could very well be. I do believe that Dany is either an INFJ or an INFP.

As an INFP I truly believes that we as a person have to think both logically and about feelings such as empathy. I find that it's hard for people to do this and I rarely able to express this to other people because most of them just chooses to not listen at all. I know not all INFP can find this idea intriguing as their ideal is different from me. Because we have F in our mbti. When I did this test my marks on feelings and thinking just have difference of 2%. Moreover I have simians line on both hands. I think this is why I find that INFP stereotypes often felt weird and odd. I do understand how they feel and decided to be more proactive. But sometimes I am an INFP especially in term speaking 😂. So yeah my point is that our personality is more complex because we have so many other causes that may affect our personality. I can see the changes because I decided to face it not to just go with the flow... so yeah

I am not fond of people in the MBTI community assuming that just because you are a certain type that you "can't" do anything that anyone else can do. Sure, things will be harder, but any person can truly accomplish anything. I believe that life is truly traversed best with "balance" in every form. If you're too introverted that's a problem. If you're too friendly that's a problem. If you're too logical that's a problem. There is something about infp main characters, I mean seeing world through their eyes is so special, because of the way they perceive everything around them. Oh, 500 Days of Summer hits different now ten years later when I know more and have experienced more. You know, the whole message of the movie is that Tom thinks they have this big romance between them even though Summer never pretends or implies anything like that. Also, I love Amelie. I only found out that I was an INFP a few years ago. Not only is a relief to find other INFPs out there (I'm the only one in my family), but also to know how to put that into perspective for a life strategy.
Great to meet you Roger! Yeah I'm the only one in my family as well and throughout my physical life I've only come across "3" other INFPs. I'm sure there has been a lot more - just not tested ones.. To always fill that void of feeling misunderstood and essentially being cast away from the majority of society I found myself consuming a TON of relatable CZcams content over the years. Watching others on here essentially helped me to conjure up the courage (took awhile lol) to also share my life's perspective with it all which I've found to be a great creative outlet for myself. I will say the connections made and the people you meet on here is pretty amazing and more of a common, understood, safe place to hangout in... Sean
True. Lately, I feel like I'm my own therapist, trying to find myself while finding a compromise between my ideals and reality. INFPs are in real danger of becoming unhealthy if constantly disappointed by the cold, harsh reality of the world.
I think Daenereys is an INFJ because she clearly doesn‘t see the good in everybody, she‘s very judgemental and prejudiced. Besides, the fact that she had her own idea of the perfect world which she wanted to force into reality by brutality doesn‘t seem like an INFP at all but INFJ. INFPs have their dream world, too, of course but it‘s more like „oh I‘d like to live there, there, this imaginary place in my head“ and we know it will never be the real world. In Addition, the producer of got fucked it up a little, in my opinion they didn‘t stay by one clear personality it seemed more they wrote what they wanted in the end whether or not it fits the character. Maybe if they explained her change of mind it would me more reasonable
I always knew it. When I was young I felt like Bastian, then like Belle and sooo much like Amélie. I love these characters because I find myself in them so much.
I think the reason there are many infp characters is that we’re pretty interesting people to others once they can see from our perspective. Being infp is a gift and a curse.
Yeah INFPs are one of the most widely different looking types to where one INFP can look vastly different than the next one. INFPs also have a hard time accepting they prefer to navigate life in an INFP way because we tend to dabble in so many things plus don't like to be put in "a box". I see it as if people see you as another type (more the better) that means you have put in a good amount of work on developing your weaker functions which makes you a better rounded human being. Doesn't mean you are being less authentic to yourself...it just says you are exploring much more avenues in life....Obviously if you just took 1 personality test and didn't dive any deeper then you're friends may have a point, but generally INFPs tend to dive down the "exploring ourselves rabbit hole" and if "you" are confident then you should stick to that. Only we really truly know ourselves.... Sean

I honestly feel like the modern society really influences women to have more INFP tendencies like feeling like misfits relating to external/body facets, being overly apologetic, feeling like they cannot express feelings or share their perspectives well, keeping the power hidden away inside and not feeling like they can be more assertive about it. INFPs can get shit done like everyone else and sometimes better with those perfectionist tendencies but they still get ignored and outcast and its perceived as ok. There is also the factor that INFPs feel like it is better to listen to everyones perspectives and take it all in before making a final claim so they are quite and listen more and are often ignored in the modern world because of it, until people come to really learn about what they are capable of. INFPs can't just walk in and influence a room it takes time to build up to that but when they do speak its more comprehensive and considerate of everyone present and based on a value system. I value all of these qualities but I can also see how they might make an INFP feel dejected if they are not strong in self love and self appreciation
WELL SAID MA’MN! Love it! Yeah I have a BIG distaste for what society places on everyone for what is perceived as “normal” (not a fan of that word). It’s so true that INFPs have the ability to do / create such impactful things, but time and time again are quickly rejected of their ideas upfront simply because that other person making the comment can’t see the vision since it’s usually so out there and abstract. With being hung up on things like criticism and fighting perfectionistic tendencies, this can create the “win environment” for the majority trying to repress that INFP individual which is extremely unfortunate... It still can affect me where others will team up on my thoughts (now a days I try to keep my passions more to myself and just DO them which helps to keep moving - once that “thing” is created then they can’t stop it beforehand).
Funny because I finally just made a video that I’ve wanted to make from starting CZcams “On being an INFP Male” (editing / posting tomorrow). In there, I do take the video towards all those stereotypes that have always affected me personally. Being an INFP male is a struggle due to a lot of the preferences and actions we do are perceived as more “feminine” so everyday life of wanting to just be myself can come with waves of negative criticism because I’m not acting “stereotypical manly” 100% of the time. I “understand” where these surface level comments come from (this gives me the knowledge to ignore / keep going) with them and it’s largely due in part to all the mass confusion that society has beat in our heads. Status Quo and stereotypes are something I really have a dislike for...

I agree the stereotypes of society apply to everyone and pretty much everyone feels victim to them at some level in some way. I love children and the elderly because all these silly limitations we all put on ourselves simply seems to not matter to them, its a choice for them to matter or not and for some reason only those age groups seems to be the best at not being influenced. I wake up everyday thinking am I an in the mood to be a child today or an old woman who is tired of the world but still somehow charmed by it. So far it has been the best way to embrace life. Some days I swing from old to young and young to old in the matter of minutes but that only makes the end of the day feel like I lived ten lifetimes and that has been beautiful to see as well.

Sorry about that Himani (edited previous comment to reflect) the image is obviously small so to the confusion. Yeah I’m a big fan too of watching children and how they have yet to be confused by societies expectations. Obviously when they grow into the teenage years and start really becoming their own person where the real world can grab them closer is when that strong amount of confusion and sometimes depression sets in because they were used to doing their own thing which can be construed as not ok. Raising a 10 year old and I super enjoy seeing her do those creative things where I make sure to give her full freedom on. I do from time to time reminisce on the “simpler times” where that’s just not the “now reality” but it helps me to keep the thought of personal freedom close to home. We can get to more of those self freedom states it just takes a large hill to climb and criticism fog to push through but I feel it’s worth it!
I'm always insecure because I can't fit in... but now i think, i think i gained a lot of confidence and I don't really care if i don't fit in anymore. I'm just gonna be myself :)

Being an infp is the most painful yet riveting thing ever. Some nights I'd cry myself to sleep wondering why I'm like this, other nights I just enjoy being lost in my own thoughts. Hell, I even enjoy crying sometimes LOL

I totally agree! When I was younger I thought I related to Amelie just like every other girl because it was cool to pretend to be like her. Years later I watched the movie again and felt a really tight connection, then I figured it out she’s an INFP and everything makes sense now 🥰

I know Dany can be controversial In terms of her type, but in the books at least, she's infp. She spends most of her time alone reflecting, well into the series. When she does have to play political games she's far less than great at it. She's interested in art and George, an infp himself has spoken through her directly a few times. I find stuff he's said in interviews parroted in Dany's monologues. This isn't present for many other characters. She's incredibly idealistic and yet wise, she only wants to do good but gets tied up in the extroverted thinking associated with good rulers. She does her best work creating plans alone behind the scenes, and acting them out. Her decisions are always preluded by a statement on how she pondered about it on her own first. Not to mention her immense empathy. Shes portrayed as awkward and nearly invisible within her own story early on. Only magical dream intervention gave her the strength to adapt to the dothraki lifestyle. I could go on and on...
Awesome depiction Paul!! Yeah Dany is tug-o-war’d pretty big in the MBTI world with what type people feel she is. I agree that there are many types in the series that she can come across as, but as can we in real life. I personally have been in Management roles for many years and even though it was an extremely stressful atmosphere for me I had to adapt and fill the role which was typically far from my preferences on a daily basis. During that time I would indeed come off more ESTJ etc, but to the core I know what / who I am. I like how you picked many parts out that can be missed from the many scenes of her dominate leadership role she was born into. It’s commonly said that INFP’s should avoid management, supervision, salesmen, etc type career paths - it doesn’t mean we can do them or be good at them it just means you are probably just going to have to work a little harder in your scary non preferred functions to succeed. If done then you actually can come out a more well rounded developed individual. Making these types of videos I know is opening a door to opinions which have come in and that’s completely understandable. I did have a selection process outside of just “me” picking them, but yeah the main point was mostly speaking through the selected clips I found to which I related to.

Everyone is well rounded, and adapts when necessary, its Dany's whole arc being able to turn around her circumstances. I really enjoy her character for this reason, and I hope there will be more powerful infp's shown in the future!
Williams idk it seems that you got seduced by the POV trap. Dany is way more empathetic in the books, but she's also dwelling with her dark impulses all the time. To a point where she can detach herself from the bad stuff she and her dragons do. Is interesting to think Dany as a dark infp but idk..I see Sansa more like an INFP. She's more dreamy and escapes her own fantasies and idealized world of good and kindness.
@@LadyLilith1015 Sansa definitely fits the description of an INFP, I never thought of that! But we have to take in consideration that her dreamy state was in her early teens when most girls are kind of dreamy when it comes to guys, and on top of that she was very sheltered growing up and didn't know any different than kindness from others. I,as an INFP, never related to her, but did to Dany. I believe Dany is INFP because fictional characters I relate to almost always end up being INFP. INFP's are not always rainbows and sunshine, especially if we are unhealthy. Everybody has some kind of dark side, especially if they had troubled childhood. So I believe Dany as an INFP can have dark side and be conflicted. Also, knowing that she has some higher purpose could lead to her being able to detach when she is doing something unethical because she knows it's necessary..

I've read somewhere that one of the INFJ negative traits is paranoia and thus when they believe that someone is going to betray them, the dread and pressure becomes reality, like the self fullfiling prophesy. And Dany has a lot of prophesies that makes her insecure and paranoid.
And with Sansa, while yes she was dreamy and romantic when she was younger, she still is in her current state. Is part of her personality and mind pattern. The show made it seem like unnecessary and immature, because she never seems to go back to her love for arts and songs, they erased so much of her 😭 it breaks my heart. Perhaps she could also be an ISFP or ISFJ, too. So I'm not sure if I can cathegorize her entirely as an INFP, but she could very well be. I do believe that Dany is either an INFJ or an INFP.

As an INFP I truly believes that we as a person have to think both logically and about feelings such as empathy. I find that it's hard for people to do this and I rarely able to express this to other people because most of them just chooses to not listen at all. I know not all INFP can find this idea intriguing as their ideal is different from me. Because we have F in our mbti. When I did this test my marks on feelings and thinking just have difference of 2%. Moreover I have simians line on both hands. I think this is why I find that INFP stereotypes often felt weird and odd. I do understand how they feel and decided to be more proactive. But sometimes I am an INFP especially in term speaking 😂. So yeah my point is that our personality is more complex because we have so many other causes that may affect our personality. I can see the changes because I decided to face it not to just go with the flow... so yeah
COMPLETELY agree with you here and also why I combat stereotypes on my channel. I am not fond of people in the MBTI community assuming that just because you are a certain type that you "can't" do anything that anyone else can do. Sure, things will be harder, but any person can truly accomplish anything. I believe that life is truly traversed best with "balance" in every form. If you're too introverted that's a problem. If you're too friendly that's a problem. If you're too logical that's a problem. The more that a person develops their weaker functions the better that person makes a happier / easier life for themselves after all the work has been put in...

I only found out that I was an INFP a few years ago. Not only is a relief to find other INFPs out there (I'm the only one in my family), but also to know how to put that into perspective for a life strategy.
Great to meet you Roger! Yeah I'm the only one in my family as well and throughout my physical life I've only come across "3" other INFPs. I'm sure there has been a lot more - just not tested ones.. To always fill that void of feeling misunderstood and essentially being cast away from the majority of society I found myself consuming a TON of relatable CZcams content over the years. Watching others on here essentially helped me to conjure up the courage (took awhile lol) to also share my life's perspective with it all which I've found to be a great creative outlet for myself. I will say the connections made and the people you meet on here is pretty amazing and more of a common, understood, safe place to hangout in...

True. Lately, I feel like I'm my own therapist, trying to find myself while finding a compromise between my ideals and reality. INFPs are in real danger of becoming unhealthy if constantly disappointed by the cold, harsh reality of the world.

I think Daenereys is an INFJ because she clearly doesn‘t see the good in everybody, she‘s very judgemental and prejudiced. Besides, the fact that she had her own idea of the perfect world which she wanted to force into reality by brutality doesn‘t seem like an INFP at all but INFJ. INFPs have their dream world, too, of course but it‘s more like „oh I‘d like to live there, there, this imaginary place in my head“ and we know it will never be the real world. In Addition, the producer of got fucked it up a little, in my opinion they didn‘t stay by one clear personality it seemed more they wrote what they wanted in the end whether or not it fits the character. Maybe if they explained her change of mind it would me more reasonable

Yeah INFPs are one of the most widely different looking types to where one INFP can look vastly different than the next one. INFPs also have a hard time accepting they prefer to navigate life in an INFP way because we tend to dabble in so many things plus don't like to be put in "a box". I see it as if people see you as another type (more the better) that means you have put in a good amount of work on developing your weaker functions which makes you a better rounded human being. Doesn't mean you are being less authentic to yourself...it just says you are exploring much more avenues in life....Obviously if you just took 1 personality test and didn't dive any deeper then you're friends may have a point, but generally INFPs tend to dive down the "exploring ourselves rabbit hole" and if "you" are confident then you should stick to that. Only we really truly know ourselves....

I think Shinji Ikari from Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of the most accurate depiction of an unhealthy INFP. Maybe that's why I found him very relatable at times...

Years and years ago I take in the myer Briggs several times a pause in college and I kept on getting INFPI didn't under really understand it then but recently . I have understood it and I've been highly intrested in it. And I feel like I've been having a epiffney after a epiffney.
