Listening to these boys describe their perfect girl, as a dark-skinned girl, is literally so dehumanzining (even though I've been dating a white guy for over 7 months now), because it makes girls of colour watching this feel unattractive to white guys and that's a huge self esteem killer.
EDIT: I'm perfectly happy as a black girl, my boyfriend is a white Irish guy who loves me for me. I'm not insecure, my statement was just to say how girls who are coloured can feel insecure because believe it or not but even men of colour can find women of colour undesirable.
It’s just a question of preference. I do t see anything wrong in them discussing their opinions and they really seem to be honest without discrimination so I don’t agree with what you’re saying. Maybe you don’t feel well about what they are saying but I don’t believe that’s what they’re trying to do.
Edit : Girls do the same when they say they want a 6ft tall man that is ripped, etc. That makes other boys less confident as well.
It’s really about preference I believe. There is a lot of people that are attracted to people of a different colour to themselves. It’s just as if someone were to like blonde hair over brown hair or blue eyes over green eyes, it’s small details people prefer not because it’s any less beautiful just that it’s what they are drawn to. Don’t feel any less about yourself because a select few guys prefer an appearance you can’t relate to because there are millions of people in the world with your appearance as their ‘type’. Everyone is beautiful
