the x230 is my favorite PC of all time! it just needs the x220 keyboard, wifi/bluetooth card, SSD, RAM, and IPS display upgrade then you can have a ""budget "" laptop that's perfectly usable in THE YEAR OF OUR LORD 2024. it's wild to me that you can easily spend new PC money on an 11 year old laptop. but that's kinda the beauty of it. everything but the damn CPU is upgradable. buy any new laptop today and it's obsolete in a few years - my 2013 x230 will outlive them all! i blame the internet for hyping up this particular model. however -if you're a freak like me- the hype is well deserved. they quite simply don't make 'em like they used to.
@@Someone-wall Its a x130e and it uses screws i dont have + it has rubber on the side to protect from drops as those laptops were used mostly in schools (mine is a ex school laptop) and most of the rubber has literally fallen off
My school has a similar laptop except it’s the Lenovo X130e and I love using it and also I have a sticky note inside(on the keyboard but lost stickiness)the laptop saying that it is mine and to not use it and on the outside and there is another one but I mainly use notebook 8(they have labels on the laptops but only the old ones) but one of my friends uses notebook 6 and also I recently found notebook 1 and 4 and they are small Acer laptops which are from 2014 and some managed to delete the school edition of windows 10 off them so they can’t be use but I could just reinstall windows 10 and get the school to change it to windows 10 education edition but I’m not allowed to but I will ask again tomorrow or just see if I could have one as a personal laptop:edit: on lenovo laptops I love the fast mouse(the thing in the middle)
Hey there. The Lenovo ThinkPad X230 came before Windows 10. So when the X230 came out, it was pre-installed with the latest Windows version, which was Windows 7 at that time. But when Windows 10 came along, Microsoft allowed Windows 7 users to upgrade to the newer operating system. So as is the case with our Lenovo X230, it came with Windows 7 (as shown by the sticker), but it was able to upgrade to Windows 10.

@@vantriloquist I think I won a battery lottery cause when I buought mine the battery manufactured on 2013 but the previous owner charged it only 47 times. It holds around 4 - 5 hours depends on usage and brightness level. It is a 6 cell battery. it is also oem battery.
