- Griffin is one of the best shooters in college, converting 47% of his 3s while ranking third in catch-and-shoot efficiency among high-volume shooters at high-major programs. Griffin has the type of physical profile NBA teams covet on the perimeter at 6-goot-6 and 225 pounds with a 7-foot wingspan. NBA teams will be closely monitoring whether the 18-year-old can put those tools to use on both ends of the floor, as he too often settles for perimeter jumpers and isn't nearly the type of versatile defender and rebounder his frame and length suggest he should be. After attempting just 2.3 free throws per 40 minutes in 34 games, Griffin -- who has looked like a potential top-five pick at times and at others a one-dimensional gunner -- must demonstrate he is more than just a standstill shooter and a willing, engaged defender.

@@CROWNZI yes his injury made lose a step on offense, and defense. def jumped not as high at duke as in hs. it really affected every part of his game. cuz also even tho he wasn’t like a pg or anything for duke he made some nice passes and he would’ve been able to peritarte the defense even better and create some dump offs and open 3’s.

Playstyle is similar, I'd say his 3 Point Shooting is a lot more polished and overall better then Derozan and Butler but the frame and playstyle are pretty similar.

He's the best pure shooter iv seen in a minute. Like Buddy Hield good. Idk I'd like to see him on Detroit but I got a feeling a team will move up for him. The Spurs or Hawks have ammo. OKC has ammo. This kid could easily average 20 a game. I like Smith, Pablo, Jaden, Chet, Griffen in that order. I see a Lavine like, Derozan type, Ja/CJ McCollum, idk what Chet is and then a dead on shooter like Buddy or even a Rashard Lewis like player

Ugly shot, not fluid, but it goes in. Has a strong upper body, so I can see him become more explosive and take guys off the dribble to the hole. I think he was taking it easy at Duke due to his injury. As another post said, he has that Jimmy Butler frame. Could develop into a great 2-way player.
