1. The title of the episode, "Transmission" along with referring to Gabriel using his power of Transmission to TRANSMIT a bunch of powers to Nora's wrestling buddy, it also refers to Marinette and Adrien's Miraculous being TRANSMITTED to new holder.
2. Yeah, Gabriel has gone far from the man he once was. He's no longer the guy in "Glaciator 2" who refused to akumatize his son.
3. It wasn't out of character for Marinette and Adrien to give up their Miraculous. They were both overwhelmed with a lot of emotions and were at the lowest they've ever been so all they could think about was making their pain stop. Sometimes the "selfish" decision can be the best decision.
I love Zoe and Alya!!! They would make a great superhero duo!!!!
Actually, the reason why Marinette and Adrien were so willing to give up their miraculous, wasn’t just because they were so overwhelmed by their heroic duties holding them back from being together, it was because they understood that the miraculous were never something they were entitled to. A miraculous is a privilege, it’s not someone’s right to use, that power was never their right to keep, it was just a responsibility that they were willing to bare, but that responsibility could easily be given to someone else if anything happened to a holder.
It has long been mused that our beloved protagonists could only finally become a couple once their mission as Ladybug and Cat Noir was over; the one true 'ship' of the Love Square is 'Adriennette,' because they're all that would remain once Ladybug and Cat Noir have finished. That pointed towards their coupling taking place at the very end of the series, assuming the defeat of Hawkmoth (or whoever the antagonist might be by then) and the Reveal of identities - but with this episode, the creators found a way to make it happen sooner without those things coming to pass! Ironically, it took the events of "Elation," falling in love as 'Marichat' and learning of each others' prior crushes on each others' alter egos (thanks to Andre Glacier), for things to develop at last.
Of course, it leads to further complications and uncertainties, as you voiced in your outro. Will they remain a couple if they regain their Miraculous in Part 2? What implications would that have for their relationship at Ladybug and Cat Noir? (Cue "The Wall Between Us," perhaps?!) Indeed, what risk is there that Monarch might finally get his way, now that the Miraculous are in possession of holders he can track via the Alliance rings? Can Scarabella and Kitty Noire (Alya and Zoe) outwit him, or will he catch them by surprise and take what he wants from them? Having seen Part 2, the answers are already apparent but your reaction will be worth seeing anyway!
Would you agree as a fellow parent, Luna, that there's an extra layer to the little moment at 10:27 beyond the obvious comedy? One day we too might accidentally walk in on our sons / daughters having a similar 'moment' with their crushes. I don't know about you, but I'd find it very awkward and (like Tom and Sabine) I'd hope to withdraw as quickly and quietly as possible so as not to ruin it...

Well the reason why Alya still wore an Alliance is because since Marinette is clumsy and a mess it almost revealed her identity as ladybug to her old friend
But later after there had been no connections between Monarch or the Alliance since it’s almost like having secret messages or notifications from somewhere where people can read them by opening the phone
