Great video Joe 💯 Man I thought about buying a battery trimmer just because there are times I like to start really early and cranking up a gas trimmer will wake up them neighbors lol So it be like the purpose if I start early then use all gas the rest of the day. I know everyone has different strategies but thats my own. Still thinking about it 😂 Like that 2620 man 💪🫡
Yes I agree. That’s what I used to do with theses trimmers. I’ll trim first be done by 7:20, then I’ll go mow the back first the the front. No noise complaints.

i use my 225 daily on all my properties....power is mid but its very light weight....o love the 2620 power but at a full tank that thing is very heavy...i use both daily tho....just use my 225 for weed eating. 2620 have me tired at the end of the day

Damn bro, that sucks ! Yeah I love my dpas2600s, your vids from a year or two ago were one reason I got em. I have like 13 batteries and they all work great, I even jump started one from dead that I got on FB marketplace (that’s another story 😂) I wish ya were closer to me / I had more time I would love to try and solve the charging issues; seems like your issues with them have been the batteries not the actual tools. I know they have a certain number of charging cycles like another other lithium / ion battery but still…
As for the gas powered ones yeah can’t hardly beat those, all solid units. 2620 is amazing for power and the 225 aka the Home Depot special, great trimmer power / weight ratio and for guy starting out. I’ve had several of them over the years even had a 210 which echo made before the 225.
Yes the trimmer is self is fine. Good weight. Good length cuz if my height and bad back. Good power also. It was just the batteries didn’t hold up🤷🏽♂️. Why idk. And yes a lot my gas stuff still holds up till this day .
@@CuttaSquad might sound crazy but ya did try the batteries in different chargers right? Rule out the charger being bad.

@@CuttaSquad hmm. I know they have a certain number of charge cycles allegedly, but it’s same w tool batteries like dewalts and I know dudes who been using ones for like 5-10 years and still work so 🤷♂️

Oh another trick with them batteries is they get too drained and low and the charger won’t read them to start charging. If you kno bout wiring, make you two tiny jumper wires and take your good battery, just a wire from positive terminal + on the good batt to one that don’t work’s + positive terminal….and same run a wire from the negative terminal from good to bad battery….and let it sit for like 5 min. Just like your jump starting a car. It will bleed voltage from the good battery back into the dead one enough that when you pull the jumpers out of the dead battery after five or so min, immediately slap that dead battery on the charger and it should now read a weak battery and the charger kick in and charge it back up normally. I’ve found this works about 60% of the time, everytime 😂

Shit's not worth it... I was in a mower shop & someone spent $3,000 for the non combi echo & a big box of batteries... 😳. The EPA is a laughing stock, always gas over electric for OPE... I called earlier needing piston rings for a Stihl FS80R trimmer... I know to oil the cylinder & piston, EPA gets a free smoke show & I save it from the landfill...
Always gas for me.
