- čas přidán 7. 07. 2024
- Thermaltake has launched a new case named CTE E600 MX that supports multiple radiators up to 420mm in size. As the name suggests this new model uses their CTE form factor, which stands for Centralized Thermal Efficiency and means the motherboard is rotated to allow an updraught heat path. The big news for KitGuru is that we have a world exclusive review of this case so you won't see it anywhere else in January 2024. Well, thats what Thermaltake told us anyway!

Bit expensive but that is a really premium case you can hear how solid it is when Leo is rotating it around on his workbench.
Hey Leo, thanks for the coverage, hope CES goes well for you guys, appreciate your work
I was just about to push the button on the T500 Air.. glad I didn't. This right here is the one. this is the case that will replace the old P600S. Well, that can be demoted to storage/capture machine. Thanks Leo. You guys provide outstanding content. Many a purchase has been green lit by your reviews. 👍
always great delivery of so much detailed info. thank you
Love the lemming fan at 13:52
that cracked me up, had no idea what was going to happen !
Really good review leo, i iike the layout and design, its another good looking TT chassis. Wasnt a fan of them years ago, but last 2 years they have improved in my mind
world exclusive review, wow. well done guys
mesh on the front and back seems the best orientation. feeding a big gpu fresh air from the back instead of the bottom and a nice 360 AIO in the front with two exhaust fans in the top forming a chimney effect. i'll be watching for this one to go on sale or perhaps a smaller version. this case is definitely function over aesthetics. Nice review Leo. Thank you.
Big Fan of Thermaltake and the CTE E600 MX case for the Covers they used with large openings for better airflow. Still not sure about the motherboard layout but has more then enough airflow. A white case Should have White internal cable and this case uses Black and I would use this case on the desk and would want the front I/O on the bottom.
It is very smart chase. I am exciting with future watercooled build in it. Thanks for review.
Hey Leo good review thank you man that blue chassis is eye catchiung, glad you focused on it
I agree the best reason to get this is the floating GPU which looks impeccable whereas the plain perforated square look and the glass bezels aren't particularly attractive nor particularly ugly. like many dual chambers the front panel mesh is completely unnecessary for cooling if not a detriment as long as the sides intakes are occupied, and in that regard all free visual appeal is welcome, I just don't particularly like the bezels obscuring the fans and bottom chamber. I'm a big FAN (chuckle) of Lian Li fans so having the bottom and top fans hidden is not desirable, and if you are using the floating GPU, any use of radiators or extensions that would fix that problem would choke the fans due to proximity.
Most expensive Mobos have very good looking Chipsets that otherwise get completely covered by the GPU so If you have an extremely sexy GPU/Mobo/CPU combo and want cheap yet effective fans for budget reasons. Other cases solution of mounting the GPU on the side intake wastes that intake area, looks kind of ugly and disjointed, and is worse for cooling, so this seems like a perfectly ideal case to get to show all your actual components off and the GPU even acts a a cover to all the big cables. Outside fashion vertical GPUs with intake on all sides do see temp benefits yet this solution has no of the downsides of having a vertical GPU smushed right up on the mobo. Albeit the poor CPU will have to choke on some of the heat instead if you don't use an AIO, which personally I'm not a fan of for longevity, repair, and tbh downright ugly tubes/orientation reasons.
P.S if one could find right angle display cables that bend parallel to the connector, would solve that problem, and tbh this isn't the first time thats come up with all these companies trying out crazy GPU mounting methods, especially in small form factor.
I'm so glad I found this! I'm definitely getting this case for my next build, the 700 series is much too large for my needs and this is just perfect!
Glad I could help!
That was a good looking build leo, very clean. I like the aesthetic
Way to get that exclusive Leo!
Congrats on the exclusive!
That 25th anniversary logo has to be the most uninspired thing I have seen in a long time.
I have to admit I wasn't paying attention to the video until I heard the Tardis reference, can you say ADHD, great video Leo.
Great review ❤
That is a great looking case !
I do like the open plan idea of a case there are way too many walls in modern cases. Only problem is you cant hear the TV over the noise in the kitchen. I may have just got a bit confused.
that blue is stunning, i love it. the cooling performance is good, but they are charging a pretty penny for this without decent fans
Well, they're giving you NO fans this time around. At least the other CTE cases came with decent fans, even though people complain about their inclusion.
That's so nice!
Love the look of the all glass wish the 750 had a option for this as I want it but I really want a full tower
Impressive, nice big empty case! btw, it's good the graphics card has an alternative mounting location in the bottom. What the review didn't talk about is how triple fan GPU air cooled cards overheat when they installed with the IO plate sticking up. I had to give up my Silverstone Raven case because of this problem. But seriously, that big of case is really a all water cooled system anyway.
you can actually move the floating GPU-bracket further to the right to avoid the tight turn with the display-cable.
love these TT cases, just hard to pick one
Thank you for showing us this case. I do like the look of that floating bracket; I know you're at CES now but do you recall if the bracket can be moved towards the front of the case? Because there doesn't look to be room for fibre-optic transceivers for long cables. And with regards to video cables, do you recall if there's a grommet to protect the video cables from rubbing on the metal when they exit the case? Because fibre-optic cables are expensive!
I hope you're having a great time at CES and find all sorts of useful and interesting stuff to show us.
I do like that blue. + Gen 4 PCIE riser explains the price. TT beat Silverstone to a sensibly priced Fortress FT02 successor. Who'da thunk when they were making tat and putting rave fave case mfrs out of business, eh? Given how much I like the mobo orientation, white kit, and the blue, this is a no-brainer. TT can have ten of my crisp twenties no problem.
Great case.
Please talk about the deepcool morpheaus and the upcoming deepcool lt820 aio
Am I the only one interested in the CTE cases because I want to have fan intakes in the front, back and bottom? 😛
that blue is really quite unusual, not sure if I like it yet. will watch it again later leo, nice job
I think its brilliant, sick of white right now, id take any colour even puke yellow
Think its a bit unnecessary if you are going for RGB as you get the colour from the lighting.
@@dreschaffhausen5693 RGB doesnt have to be spinning RGB colours all the time. You can easily set up a lovely watercolor style blue and white hint on the fans to enhance the look of the blue case etc.
I wish this can be inverted for those, like myself, that put the computer on the left side of the desk like a madman....
With the Floating GPU bracket you have very little room for HDMI cables - but that finished build looked great. they are charging a fortune though, id want those fans as well with it.
People dont really understand how expensive those fans are to make, no chance they would give them away with a case, unless they bumped the price up significantly
@@larwiemcdonnel5322 Considering the fact that they sell the CT140, their stock fan, for $15 each with packaging and all, and that fans have huge profit margins, they don't cost that much. Those fans aren't anywhere near close to as expensive as you're making them out to be.
I'm hoping more Mini-Itx cases that support longer 3-Slot GPU's like Nvidia's aftermarket 4090's
That is a kick ass case and blue colour. Not sure I need the '25' at the front - looks like a white sticker a kid just put on it from a cornflakes box.
Pretty neat case, just seems kind of big and empty. Probably would look a lot better with a custom loop in it to fill it out.
Great review, ridiculously oversized and space inefficient case though imo.
I'll keep my montech king95, that mouse trap will not fly. I do like the color.
Please make a review of Gamdias neso p1, this review is very good I would like to see the neso p1 review.
Can Thermaltake ever design something without ripping other companies off..
Would it be possible to DiY install a LCD display long enough right on the removable front fan rack with the glass panel cover instead?
Is there also a version with a FULL on airflow sidepanel instead of a glass one?
Its a lovely case just cost a bit too much considering it doesnt come with any fans.
its quite expensive i agree. even one or two of those fans would have helped lessen the blow.
Great video but I'll stick with my Nv7 case
I got the glass version of this for $130 AUD!
how are connecting display cables to the gpu, there is no gpu cutout or anyting to run cables in the current orientation
I’m sorry quick question. Does each fan pack comes with regular and irregular fans? Or do we have to buy the reversable blades afterwards?
Each of the SWAFANs comes with three rotors included for Air Pressure, Air Flow and Reverse
@@KitGuruTech thank you so much for the answer. Have a nice day.
Does this case have the option for motherboards connections to be on the back side ( not visible)
Would be a wonderful case if not for the rotated motherboard...just why
Wait, so when you pop the fans out and put different ones in to change the way they suck can you explain that and can you do that with any fans?
I dont know why this case is more money than the cte 750
hello! i have 2x 360 rad TT pacific , 65mm thick , they will fit on any of the available space? cause all the specs only mentions the lenght...
I bought the CTE700 the thermaltake fans are not the best. I swapped them out for some bequiets
What if you added fans to the back as well? With your HDMI cable sticking out like that, I could only assume you could use the space for two above it and not directly behind the cable as it would stick into the fan. But if you did add some fans, would you have the air coming into the case or out of the case from that point? Also, how do the two potential HDDs keep cool in the back? That looks like a heat trap for those.
With Fans on the rear, I wonder if the GPU lead will impact the fans
Why is there such a tall mesh area at the PSU?
Very nice build but not sure if I like that blue tint. Can you get it in clear or smokey grey instead?
Por favor.. podéis decir los pros y contra por aquí, ya que aquí se puede traducir.. un saludo
is the 25 on the front a sticker or printed on, i get its for their 25th anniversary but it just looks a bit tacky
I wonder why You didint tested this GPU in default layout (into the motherboard PCIE lane). This is REALLY IMPORTANT TO INFORM YOUR READERS/LISTENERS, that unknown number of GPU can work in that orientation. That said, eventual buyer have no way of checking, if he's card will be compatible with this layout or not, he will find out only after buying and testing it.
So to anyone reading this: If you already have MB, GPU, CPU, PSU and deciding about the case, be aware its sometimes harder to send back case to shop, as it will have much more visible sights of usage. You GPU may not be compatible with this layout (video output facing top). Before buying case with such layout i strongly recommend to test such orientation in your current case. Sign of incompatibility of GPU - Case are very high temperatures of GPU, leading to throttling.
I love the tower 300. Not a fan of this one though
Has the Lemming fan at 13:52 gone in for therapy yet? 😅
I missed that first time, brilliant.
I use this video to help me fall asleep at night - full disclosure #cte brain damage
The music at the ads is much too loud
Shouldn’t have included the PCI-E cable, only the brackets and offer it as optional. No fan is good. Either offer some good fans, specially ones that can be found available to buy and match perfectly the ones included or don’t bother. Otherwise is just waste.
This is not an E-ATX case, I had to return it.
I don't get why they can't offer this with a normal layout instead of a sh*tty roof access for IO ports. I don't remember anyone asking for that.
Love the CTE cases, was going to build in the Fractal Torrent but like the CTE 750 more.
The CTE 600 is nice but I prefer the 750.
Any idea when Thermaltake will bring the CTE cases to Israel? Been looking to buy 1 but no 1 in the country is selling it. Getting tired of waiting and might build in the Torrent after all.
Why have they ruined the blue case with a circular white sticker with ‘25’ on it ?! Right at the front where you keep looking at it. At least make a nice badge or chrome logo. Something cool. I couldn’t take my eyes off that sticker on the front. It’s terrible ! Can you remove it ?
Don't understand the need-cum-stupidity to have all major IO on top! Back is the best, out of sight. Same with them fish tanks, good looks but noise and turbulence is increased with fans sitting on sides. Front in, back out is the best, with AIO top if you go for one. simple physics. Well, at least that's what my logics say. :)
Personally I went with good priced Cougar Uniface case this time and I am happy, with my Ryzen 7700 with PBO+CO running All-Core 5.3Ghz, Single-Core 5.5Ghz, with TjMax @88C, idle 45-50C and less than 30db ear level, full-load (CPU + 3080Ti) less than 40db. Close to perfect.
Fair enough!
So they made a C750 for GPUs that don't want to be hung by the side. Just a lil compromise. That blue is beautiful, but they ruined it with that big ugly 25!
i hate cases with empty space.... terrible use of desk space
Its good for air flow though.
Note sure why people review cases like this and install 120mm fans and 360mm radiators. Looks so much better with 140s, and 420s. Just looks funny and empty like this. Do better Leo, and use it to its full potential.
Who can explain me, what is wrong withe the normal layout on cases? What we have this circus of bad ideas????
Absolutely ridiculously overpriced. Must be that 25 logo.
TT always tries radical ideas but none of their products appeal costumers.
Not good build
Thermaltake is a textbook example of a plagiarism company which never had an original idea since its inception...
oh nonsense, thats years ago you are referring to.
A few years ago, maybe, but recently they are doing some good things. you need to keep up
seems a bit harsh man - the caselabs fiasco was bad, but in the last 18 months I think some of their releases have been really good - the tower cases for one
@@haremofprocessors6954 I get the hate with TT over the years, but i dont think all their products are crap. some great cases lately.
@@haremofprocessors6954the caselabs fiasco basically killed caselabs it’s fine for people to hate thermalFake for what they do
damn that case looks like shit! No where near its competitors.
