- Maryjane and her daughters Moemoana & Moeatalagi teach us this Siva Tatau which tells the journey of the 2 sisters Taema & Tilafaiga bringing tattooing or the tatau to Samoa.
The song is called 'Le Mafua'aga' sung by the Golden Ali'is and the choreography was created by Maryjane and her husband Frederick in 2013.

Mary Jane was the most beautiful Miss Samoa to ever grace the stage. You would never think she was half Australian white. Always so passionate about displaying Samoan culture more than herself. Seeing her mum at the end was just beautiful- seeing 3 generations dance together❤❤❤
Lp L In your opinion. Yes Mary Jane was one of the most beautiful miss Samoa but if you want to state your opinion make sure you’re not talking on behalf of everyone. To me Verona was the most beautiful (in my opinion) so I won’t say Verona was the most beautiful miss Samoa - because it discredit other great women who had the title and each have served their time perfectly and everyone has their favourites, regardless : the ladies have their own uniqueness in them and their own beauty that everyone preferred differently.

Malo Soifua. Hello. I very much enjoyed the video, but we have to stop telling about the competing origin of the village of Fitiuta as the origin of the tatau. It's not. Fitiuta, the village most likely did not exist when the tatau came from Fiji. My family is from Fitiuta and the village got its name after some villagers from Faleasao or Ta'u lost a battle and were kicked out so they were literally fiti iuta, expelled inland.
Also the part about only the females were to give and receive the tatau is Fijian tradition. No such tradition existed in Samoa. So the song is correct. The other origin story came out of foolish pride, or mimita valea.
What's next? Kimchee originated in Pago? 😒😁

beautiful routine, the problem for us is the camera is doing a close shot mostly and so we can't see the feet movements to the hands and body. When the camera does pan out, its looks so great. Sorry, but it was a disappointment for us as we wanted to see the feet coordination with the hands and body with the feet so we know if your taking small steps or pointing your toes to the floor or tapping your feet to each move or where is your footing to each turn etc. It was very, very difficult to see and so it became so frustrating we just stopped watching.
Stop all that’s but focus to God only not dance
