If it's an actual park more than likely it will continue to have some grass but not oll of that..
But if it's just a waterscape to drive past so the neighborhood has something pretty to look at as they drive by it probably won't.
Those small ponds at the lakes, they are removing the grass soon and going rock. The nabers are pissing about it.
I'm currently replacing my lawn with a plant called Dwarf Carpet of Stars. It's a long expensive project for me because I'm doing it myself. "I like to garden". Between the flats of plants and the drip line replacement from sprinklers I'm about $20k into it and only 1/2 way done.
I refuse to go rock or to take $ from SNWA, so when I sell this place in the future whoever buys it will be able to do as they please like I am without input/bitching from SNWA!
