I was talking about my warrior Scottish ancestors literally TODAY and was telling someone the story of a specific ancestor who was a regular man but went out of his way to save King Richard III and was knighted for his bravery and fierceness. He was granted a castle and was named the King's right hand man for his loyalty... Our castle was stolen and that family rewrote history and claimed they purchased the castle when my ancestors had to escape in the night when they were betrayed by noblemen and they convinced the king that my family were traitors and into bad witchcraft ☹️ this happened around 1600... I heard this story once but the story flooded me today and makes .e very emotional. My grandpa does genealogy so I know these awesome stories about them.... His mother always said when red cardinals appeared it was our ancestors. She also had red hair.

Our county fair was literally the week before school started and bought some red feather earrings from a vendor that I couldn't live without. I wore them for my picture and once I got the pictures back I was horrified at how hideous they looked! Those were the days!
