Behind the Wire looks at the systemic corruption that allegedly characterises our prison system. Prisoners say they are made to pay bribes to prison officials for basic things that they are entitled to. One prisoner who has served over 20 years and is due for parole, refuses to pay bribes to facilitate his release. He has gone on several hunger strikes in protest.
