I know people are just being "kind" or want to help when they say "Please don't kill yourself" but the next phrase like "You aren't the only one hurting" or "There's somebody out there suffering more than you" to a depressed person would just make things more complicated. We have different levels of pain and emotions. Different experiences too so we all have different reactions.

So what I'm getting from this is that Tomioka giyuu only had 2 people that was important to him and they both died in front of him wow that's sad.
Not to be a nerd but sabito did not die in front of giyu, sabito died while giyu was injured was informed of his death after heading back from final selection.

I have a suggestion , when you show sabito's death scene , giyuu should tell them all that in was in the final selection because of course it is normal for someone to die in the final selection so the hashira's shouldn't be shocked at that , its just to make it like more accurate i guess?
