How to Correctly Prep a Brand New Acrylic Brush

I am asked by so many people how to prep an Acrylic Brush and I’ve just launched my new Acrylic Brushes so here’s how.
I’ve got two brushed, Mr Buttons and Oscar the Wild and they’re both pinched brushes. New brushes come with a sealant to protect the bristles in transport.
To remove the sealant, I’ll start with gently breaking the seal and lightly flicking out the sealant as much as possible, this might take about 5 minutes. You can use the cleaning brush from our e-file collection with your hand to run through the acrylic brush too. Once I’ve got as much out as possible I’m going to pop some monomer and acetone into a dish and I’ll saturate the brush and wipe it out until it’s clean. I’ll change out my liquid for monomer and test my brush, if there’s no particles in the liquid then it’s clean.
