You need Zink paper. It's a special paper that contains cyan, magenta and yellow crystal which is activated by heat. The three colors combined together produces the required color. The paper is kind of expensive. Also as the ink is activated by heat(100C-200C) if you store the picture near hot places the color could change.

no ink but the paper itself is specially designed to be etched on. in other words, its already inked in the paper sort of. you cant use ordinary paper.
