Catching up on the old videos. This must've slipped through the cracks like a penny between the car seats. Cowboy Chris has the moves of a ballet dancer. Kudos to young Chris for Sober October, always a good idea not to let the thing you love get out of hand. Beautiful countryside as always. I wonder how cold those lakes are. Looks to me like a quick dip could put the old willy into frightened turtle mode for the duration of the trip. Might end up looking like those Greek statues where the winkers are about the size of peanuts. Cheers.

Nice that the wind had dropped although I was looking forward to how that 'taut' tent was going to last the night in those conditions....but a fantastic location. It’s Cockney rhyming slang for “pasty”.a pasty being a British baked pastry that can have all kinds of fillings.corned beef is a popular one,corned beef would be similar to salt beef on your side of pond according to google.oh and an actual video nasty is a term given to something like a horror movie or something like that.
In this context it means rhyming slang for pasty (a type of food like a meat pie) like the comment above said.
But an actual Video nasty refers to the ‘banned’ or’X’ rated horror movies that were available on VHS tapes in the 1980s. Films like “Zombie Flesh Eaters” and “I Spit on Your Grave”
It means PASTY which is a pastry filled with meat and veg 😋👍

Great camp and laugh. Poor cowboy Chris's mat though 😂😂 was it fully blown up.when it blew away? I've nearly had that happen myself when setting up 😂. The wind got to my tent in the outer Hebrides just before we left. I could use it but it's under warranty so I'm camping in a crisp packet as not home until tomorrow 😂. I actually had this tent.many moons ago and it was a solid wee thing and holding up well as it's still almost constant wind and rain!🌪🌧🏕
Aye it was blown up, not the most sensible thing to leave you airbed outside in the wind ha ha 😂 Luckily he had his foil mat and 4 season sleeping bag 😉 Thanks for watching Mechelle, all the best Chris 👍
@BLOTOUTDOORSSHOW haha we've all done something like that. Nearly lost mine the odd time setting up if it windy and not fully in the tent 😂. I'm getting a new mechanism sent for my tent under warranty so will fix it and keep that one for the more fair weather camping 🏕 😀

Visit ettrick valley Scottish Borders there is a lovely bothy overthawp bothy. I run honey cottage caravan park pop in to our bee hive coffee shop and say hello anytime me and my other half are from south shields we took this place on 2 years ago. Plenty of places to wild camp and you won't see a sole
