You are recommended and "warned" at the same time to avoid cleaning your ears using a cotton swab from today onwards; because this cotton swab can literally make you deaf by repeatedly pushing the earwax inwards.
Look, here is the earwax present in your ear. Being acidic and oily in nature, this earwax prevents the entrance of bacteria, germs, and dust to the internal parts of yours ears and ultimately aids the prevention of various ear infections.
Sometimes this earwax is prevent in an excessive amount. And if you try to take this wax out using a cotton swab, exactly opposite happens and the wax moves inward instead. This earwax will get deposited near the eardrum, which hinders the eardrum vibration and can lead to the hearing loss at the end.
Besides that, a cotton swab can even puncture your eardrum, leading to the permanent deafness. And this is why you are suggested to avoid using a cotton swab to clean your ears.
In short, you should never put anything in the ears that is smaller than your elbow.

Dekh bhai humey zaroorat hi nahi hai kaan saaf karney ki. Kaan ka main khud saaf hota rehta hai waqt ke saath saath especially because of bathing. Agar apko phir bhi kaan saaf karney hai toh bath ke baad towel/tissue paper appney kaan pe rakh kar useey araam se shake karo, zaroorat se ziyada gand khud hi saaf hojayega

As an Audiologist I can confirm that one shouldn't use ear buds as our ears are self cleaning in nature. But if the wax gets accumulated and cause temporary Hearing loss or blocked feeling then you must visit an ENT or a hearing Specialist Audiologist. They either will prescribe you ear drops or clean it with an instrument. I hope it clears.
Please note that after having shower everyday just wipe your outer ear with cotton cloth or towel. That's enough.

Use water instead of earbuds but don't put too much water after pouring water shake the tragus(part of ear if you don't know search about it) of ears and the water from your ears will be released...zada pani dala na tu kano mein ajib ajib se awaze agyi.😅😊

This really happened with me last week . The ear wax got stuck to the ear drum causing 90% hearing loss from 1 ear and the doctor had to scratch it from there . The treatment was EXTREMELY EXTREMELY painful. Highly suggested never use ear bud!!

I have been using cotton swab from childhood and I must tell there is technique to use it just keep rotating and move in little by little and stop when u feel discomfort. I have never seen ear doctor in my life. Recently i bought an ear cleaner with the camera and my ear was not that dirty when I used it.

It happened with me twice, once it happened for 4-5 days in one ear.. it was normal.. but then after 3 years.. it happened again and this time it was severe and both my ears got blocked and I wasn't able to hear anything for a month or more then I went to a reputed doctor then somehow it got better ( I went to 2-3 other doctors too but it was no help)

Yes, never do it guys. I used to use these swabs a lot to clean my ears. But one day my ears started paining heavily. I couldn't sleep or eat and focus on things. My ear started to release a sticky substance and it caused a lot of inflammation to the ear. I showed up to an Ear Specialist and he said I have fungus in my ears due to over usage of cotton swabs. He cleaned my ear fungus with a machine they have. Believe me, utna pain nahu, but it pains a considederable amount when that machine is in your ears. So please if anyone is reading this, never use a cotton swab or put anything in your ear.

Use ear drops and then gently wash the upper part of ear after a day and it will automatically clean your extra waxes .or you can buy a ear cleaner machine but it is not cheap as compares to ear drops.

Actually most of the time you don't need to. It comes out automatically and if you wanna, a guy already stated that water can be used. Make sure it's warm to soften the wax up.

This happened to me and I started having issues with my hearing and currently the treatment is going on...this video is absolutely correct never use cotton buds to remove wax from your ear...you can just find a good local ENT specialist and have monthly appointments to remove wax from your ear which is not painfull at all...Stay safe and stay strong.
Same this side. This happened to me also but immediate treatment saved me from deafness. Thanks a lot to my ENT for bringing my earwax out with scientific accessories, the earwax went near the eardrum causing hearing issues. Throw those things away dude...
