  • The first tour of the year for the North Somerset Railway's West Country No. 34094 'Mortehoe' was the 1Z94 05:00 Crewe - Canterbury West via Ramsgate 'The Golden Arrow' railtour on April 25th 2024, which it would attach to at Slough.
Our first views are from the day before, with 34094's positioning moves prior to leaving the railway for overnight stabling at Southall. The engine climbs the 1:48 through Flowers Farm Halt with the 10:31 Frome Market - Radstock service, formed of the railway's GWR livery Hawksworth stock. After using Radstock's turntable, the engine is seen climbing out of the station on a much more reasonable 1:77 gradient. At Mells Road, there was an extended stop to collect the GWR Siphon water carrier, which had been filled for the light engine move, and our last view of the day is 34094 making a spritely getaway from Mells Road Station.
The next morning, Railway Timelines Limited Class 37s No. 37508 and 37422 'Robert F. Fairlie', making their maiden voyage themselves, are seen accelerating away from a passenger pickup at Tamworth, with tones from the driver of 508. Having attached 34094 at Slough and running 37422 around to the rear, the train is seen waiting at a red signal at Wandsworth Road for a path onto the Chatham Main Line. RTL-owned 4-CEP No. 1592 passes with the SouthEastern 1S16 09:40 London Victoria - Ramsgate service, which the Bulleid would follow all the way to Ramsgate. Later on in the journey, 34094 is seen flying along the Kent Coast at Minnis Bay at speed, approaching Birchington-on-Sea. And our final view shows 34094 climbing hard up the 1:70 gradient away from Margate Station.

This was recorded in Train Simulator in April 2024 using the Xbox Game Bar and edited in Microsoft Clipchamp in June 2024. I also apologise for the lag, there was a lot going on. I also don't know why the Add Logo icon is in the intro, d'oh.
