Damn, the fact that Rooney has retired and is a manager while Ronaldo (who is older than him) is still playing hits quite hard!
Rooney must have hit puberty when he was about 7 tho he looked like a 40 year old at 20. I think it’s the same with his career. He was overplayed, played with bad injuries, wasn’t given a proper role (he was always moved about), heavily criticised by the media (rightly so and also unfairly), as well as not keeping as good a care of himself as Ronaldo has.

Tbh Rooney never looked after himself like Ronaldo. You can take into account injuries that play a part obviously, but Rooney off field wasn't remotely close to been as dedicated as C7 and its plain to see. Hell, Rooney was making tabloid headlines about been drunk and partying earlier this year, meanwhile C7 is constantly looking after and adapting his diet, training, and psychology. Fact is Ronaldo is in the top percentage of athletes of all time, let alone just footballers. He is an absolute freak.
Not sure why that should hit hard but Ronaldo's longevity must be something to do with having voluminous hair and a Mediterranean diet instead of a Manchester one I guess...oh and being a fitness nut...

Good Point about Rooney being seen as the bigger talent when they first played together... He really was, such a shame about that injury he got at Euros 2004, it knocked about 10% off his game.
I’d even argue that Rooney was more highly rated than Ronaldo until the 06/07 season when Ronaldo won PFA player of the year for the first time.

If you asked Ronaldo, he would definitely have only one answer and that is Karim Benzema. The amount of assists and sacrifices Benzema provided to Ronaldo is just unreal. He used to create all the space for Ronaldo to shine and score. This is also what makes Benzema one of the most underrated strikers ever. He literally sacrificed his game to make Ronaldo shine. Despite that, he still managed to score more than 20+ goals every season!

When people mention his later years they forget he was playing against grown men in the hardest league in the world at 16 years old. By the time Rooney was 30 he’d already played more games than Paul Scholes did in his entire career. While I also believe Rooney could have hit even greater heights England and Man Uniteds all time top scorer and winning everything there is isn’t to bad of a consolation prize

Criminally underrated? I don't think so.
Benzema is almost certain to go down as one of Real Madrid's top goalscorers, if not the top only behind Ronaldo himself.
He is a club legend, and also one of the best goalscorers and strikers in La Liga history.

So Dybala, who (amongst many other things) almost single-handedly won Juve and Ronaldo a Serie A title in 2019/20 and linked perfectly with him throughout his stay is too high on the list, while an incredibly disappointing Sancho is fine where he is? and that's ignoring the fact that he, Rashford and Greenwood had practically never even played with Ronaldo at the time of recording (just 2 games). hell, they shouldn't even be ON the list.

Initially it was Benzema who although seems to have come into a light of his own since Ronaldos leave didn't seem to mind being second to Ronaldo as Madrid's main striker , the past 3 seasons saw Dybala fall off, again because of Ronaldo being at Juventus and this season is simply Greenwoods turn

I don't understand Rashford being ranked lower than Sancho and Greenwood. Seeing as all three have essentially not played any games with Ronaldo yet I think it should go off current talent where I think Rashford is definitely ahead of the other two with Sancho's shaky start and Greenwood's younger age and some inconsistencies.
