Days of being wild is probably one of my favorite Wong Kar Wai films. It’s just sad all the way with no absolution for the characters till the end.
Criterion better release the boxset soon, I’ll watch it through you guys first but they need to hurry up

the only unrealistic thing abt wong kar wai’s films is that you have these good-looking ppl yet they get cheated on (maggie cheung and tony leung in ‘in the mood for love’) or girls break up with them (basically takeshi kaneshiro’s characters)

$120 something dollars. But I haven't seen these before or heard of them before. Hmmmm. Spend the money and risk hating them or spend the money and end up liking them? Decisions decisions.
I just got the set today, but I’ve already seen four of the ones on here. Wong Kar-Wai is one of my personal favorite directors, and I can’t recommend his movies enough. But don’t spend that much money on it if you’re on the fence. I’d say watch one or two of them first

I am a huge fan of Wong Kar Wai specially "In the mood for love" but I don't understand why Criterion is not releasing them in the actual 4k format? What is the point of 4k restoration when they have to downgrade it to 1080P.
I really wish if some other company hold rights for these movies. We already have the blu rays so I don't see any point of remastering them and then downgrading them. Why Criterion is hesitant to enter to 4k? I am sorry but it made me so upset. I was actually thinking we gonna have this set in 4k but now I see there is no news of any 4k release by Criterion.

Save your money, the colors are altered very poorly. The lush colors are missing and have a strong tint of green when there never was on every scene. Was very disappointed since I grew up with these films. Consider it a george lucas kind of alteration, some lines of dialogue are missing also.

The original versions literally look 100 times better. Magnificently beautiful.
These new versions added a green filter for no apparent reason other than (that was how they were supposed to look) nonsense.
