Objective best era of online gaming. It cannot return because the chosen ones took over every major online platform and changed the culture of the internet through their brainwashing tools like reddit.
Will still have the memories of the countless hours played on this game in 40 years time. Wish I could go back.

This era was the greatest time to be a gamer. Nothing will ever beat playing Halo 2 and 3 online. The best games man. Halo 2, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Call of Duty World at War, Left4Dead, Left4Dead2. Remakes are great, but they never compare to the originals

Hopefully Halo2 Anniversary will revive the MLG Halo scene. I miss this. The teams, the call-outs, the upsets. Maybe we'll get to see some of these guys come out of retirement as well. Here's to helping :D

The amount of frantic communication during these matches is astounding.
OGRE 2 is a legendary out of anyone in here ever since walshy was kick out of FB... No question, OG2 is literally the greatest halo player out there at the moments, more winning + more national championships.
walshy was the best player on the team in h2, maybe even the game at the time. He wasn't called captain clutch for no reason.

@WhiplashSL funny how i thought that this was solid quality in 2006, hd capturing didn't exist back then. this is prolly the most exciting series in mlg halo history (there was still another season in the evolution of the game in 2007) but this one is still my favorite.

Completely unrelated to the video, but while I was watching I began wondering; how many spartan bodies would there be if you were to add up every death that has taken place in matchmaking since halo 2? Essentially I'm wondering how many times players have died in matchmaking in every halo game but with a visual representation like a mountain of spartan corpses. Vsauce should do a video on that.

I forgot where I heard this, but I think it's been said that more players have died in halo's matchmaking than the number of real people that have lived since the beginning of time. Now that I think about it, I think I heard that from Vsauce. Or was it the game theorist?

I miss em but h2 and h3 wouldn't attract viewers and new players enough these days. The games are too slow for people but h5 has made halo fun again and added a nice dynamic to it, the pro scene is starting to get big again and it's definitely on the rise
halo paved the way for console gaming at a professional level and 343 ruined it with what they turned it into, sadly that's why it died off, and cod players act like their mlg is super special but if not for us old halo players it would still just be pc and professional console gaming wouldn't exist. I wish a company would make a game with this concept that can get the community and mlg hyped about a pro league, but I think most companies now are going the way of cod, futuristic games where fighting for power weapons to win games won't be the objective :/ fuck 343 lmfao

@Theb0x I knew this was recorded back in 06, I was just commenting on how no one ever sees anything lower than 360p these days. It's either 480p for the ones that aren't that heavily into recording or 720/1080p for the serious individuals.

Have you heard about Elite Tournament Gaming? They supposedly are holding Halo 4 tournaments and also Halo throwback tournaments featuring Halo 1 and 2. ETGchannel on youtube... I think they just got started... their first tournament is coming soon from what I hear...
Adding to my "Watch Later". I'm totally going to sit down and watch it in one sitting.
And I'm hoping the kids who comment that Halo 2 is the best game ever have actually PLAYED Halo 2 a great amount. Hopefully it's not some magical ideology in your head that it's some wonderful game because you're having a tough time in H3/Reach and that Halo 2 will be "all better".

I can only hope and pray that Halo 4 is being created with the idea of bringing THIS kind of intensity back to competitive gaming. This is further proof that "new" (Halo Reach) doesnt necessarily mean "better" (Halo 1 and 2).

This game is so much faster paced than Reach and H3. There's so much more going on.
