Predict Wind Releases New AIS Software

The Automatic Identification System is fantastic for preventing at-sea collisions, but its range is limited to line-of-sight VHF transmissions. PredictWind’s DataHub can take aggregate AIS terrestrial and AIS satellite data from PredictWind’s servers and push it out to networked instruments and devices as NMEA 0183 or NMEA 2000 sentences, thus extending the range of some AIS targets.
