Just a basic overview of the Leicaflex, a lesser known Leica. Sorry the Leicaflex in the video is the standard version not the sl version. Oops.

Build quality on these lenses is excellent and the series filters fit into your lens hood! Series filetrs are also pretty widely available used.

That Leicaflex is a THING of beauty. I have a mk2, and while I love the meter switch of the advance lever, the Mk1 redefines "tank" for me. Shoot it, love it!

I found that a 43.5mm filter will screw on pretty securely.

Needing to get an adapter to be able to put on a filter is typical Leica head scratching, 'why does Leica always overcomplicate things' nonsense. I have the same 2-cam 50mm summicron which I've adapted to my Pentax LX body, it's been too much of a headache to find the damn filter adapter so I don't bother.

sorry, but isn't that a Leicaflex Standard? The SL has the meter grill across the whole area above the lens. The Standard has the window with the battery next to it.

No, the SL does not have a “meter grill” above the lens. What you are calling a meter grill is a cosmetic panel. The SL has through the lens metering.
