- Catching the V-Set Train from Sydney Central Train Station to Katoomba Train Station in the Blue Mountains Greater Sydney.
The train trip from Central Station to Katoomba will take just on 2 hours.
Trains travel from Central Station to Katoomba every 30 minutes on weekdays and hourly on the weekend.
The V-Set Trains are Electric trains built from stainless steel. They are gradually being phased out and replaced with the new D-Set trains.
I hope to do a review of this same trip to Katoomba onboard the new D-Set Train very soon.
Great tour of the place.
Glad you enjoyed it
We love how pretty that train station is! Super cool, and the ride itself looks nice. Growing up around chicago I took the train pretty frequently (one of the few very train-friendly areas in the US I'd say). This one looks pretty neat too. Nice video, keep up the great work! 👍
Thanks for watching! I visited Chicago a few times many years ago but just stayed in the city area so no train trips there for me!
was waiting for this vid so good that we can travel now
It sure is good to travel again!
good video
Thanks
The V sets are getting old, but the ride and the seating remain very comfortable.
yep old but still pulling their weight
@@nowgettheretravel6877 Very much so, and a lot better than their successors
Hey mate I really enjoyed your video's, could you do a trip report central to Newcastle interchange
Possibly! I been planning a trip up to Newcastle. Hopefully soon
My son is obsessed with train travelling and videos of train rides on youtube tv. He would like to ask a question regarding what time you first departed from central in the beginning please
Sorry I can't remember what time I left but this train leaves every 30 minutes or so. Many trains going to Katoomba.
Thanks for watching ;)
@@nowgettheretravel6877 thank you for your reply.
BuIlt by Comeng in Granville in SYDNEY.
The good old days when trains were built in Australia!
Nice video! When did the train get the busiest?
gets busy around Penrith station
What train go to Katoomba? T1, T2, T3 …..?????
it travels from the city out through Western Sydney on T1
first like view and comment
Very close 2nd, missed by 1 second
I wasn't sure if Rhys got it first or not. You should come out to Cowra one day
@@lisahughes5883 does the train go thru to Cowra?
@@nowgettheretravel6877 you would have to catch the train through to Lithgow or perhaps Bathurst and then the Trainlink Coach through to Cowra. Not much public transport that's for sure
Wonder if I got first or second
First but 1 second
i want to study in katoomba, i want to know that the city is a regional or not. what is the chances of pr if i study in katoomba. what is the scenario of part time jobs in katoomba.
no idea
No idea what you mean by pr. Katoomba is the regional town for the upper Blue Mountains, but I'm very doubtful that there's any tertiary education available there.
There is a TAFE college at nearby Wentworth Falls.
