Who else has an extreme fear of deep pitch black water? Fell out a boat when I was younger looking straight down into nothing but black abyss. Words can't describe the fear in my mind and physical distress it put my body into.

I was swept out to sea by a rip tide in Corsica when i was 16yrs old.
Somehow i was deposited on a sandbank and swam then crawled up the beach.
I lay completely exhausted, shaking and vomiting on the beach for ages.
Now in my mid fiftys i have never been near the sea again ever.
I hate the sea! It scares the hell out of me.

If the meg did exist we'd know it. The shark would have a very hard time keeping hid and, to be sure, hiding would be of no interest to it. It would be out there like any other shark - and it ain't.

My grandfather slipped off the rocks at the coast in Kwa Zulu Natal. He didn't panic at all, just floated calmly on the water. His two sons found a rope, and one went out to fetch my grandpa while the other pulled them in. My grandfather was unhurt and was very lucky. ❤

Deep Blue was just a Great white of an enormous size, it wasn’t a megaladon. Sadly, no one knows her whereabouts so we’re not sure if she is still alive. Frankly, I don’t think a shark the size of the Meg could exist in oceans today.

Everybody's always saying White sharks can only grow so big and get so, when the truth is we don't know max age or weight. A sharks only bones are it's jaws and teeth. The rest of it's skeleton is cartilage. So when a shark dies it's skeleton rots, except for it's mouth. Which leads to the question, why don't we see more evidence of dead sharks, more jaws cause some of them have to die in shallow water.

And fisherman don't exaggerate their stories at all lol it's not entirely outside the realm of possibility that the megalodon could still be alive however I'd say it's far more likely that it doesn't. What people say the saw and what they actually saw are two vastly different things. Personally I would like nothing more than to think the megalodon is still roaming the oceans but you need more evidence than the possibly exaggerated stories of some fishermen and some underwater photographers who could be exaggerating things to help further their careers

In an old Genus World Records book there's a sharks jaws open and 3 rows of men in it. Front row sitting in chairs, second row standing and the 3rd row were standing on chairs. 13 men in total. I'm not sure where it was caught but it was in the late 1800s. It was the most terrifying thing I had ever seen. On the next page they had a picture of a snapping turtle, Loggerhead to be exact and it was dead but still holding onto a tree branch about 6" in diameter and 6 men holding the thing up over there heads and the turtle was dragging the ground. It weighed over 600lbs.

Fish grow to the size of their environment when they do have food. There will not be an overpopulation of these large fish simply because the food can't substain a large amount of them. However, there is substantial food substantial a few of them.!!!

I think a megalodon is nothing more than a much older shark. Some sharks have a smaller appendage or shape off the edge of each pectoral fin. Not all sharks have this. I think Deep Blue is a young meg. She is absolutely huge but not many get even as big as she is. Im sure its a type specific pf great whites but even more so the fins on her have the extra flange shape on the fins. Its very distinctive. At time stamp 14:01 serms to show the type of fins. PS that huge shark very deep nudging the bait cage was very likely a greenland shark. It's not typical for the area but who knows .

It would be interesting and a surprise to see a megalodon today. But, allegedly, they lived in shallow waters near the coastlines where it was warm. There is nothing to sustain the suspicion that it changed its behaviour and habitat completely.

Considering we’ve only discovered 1% of our ocean like someone else in the comments said, it is almost certain there is some sort of gigantic ancient creature. In fact even with the recent discovery of the “lake” said to be 2.5X the size of the Pacific Ocean under our ocean now it is nearly impossible for there not to be a prehistoric creature.
