Thanks for showing your amp set up. It would also be helpful to discuss the tone and volume settings on your Gretsch.

Hi Michael, bridge pick up volume, 100% neck pick up 50%, master volume 100%, generally the tone circuit is switched off (switch in the middle). Hope this helps cheers, Colin

As always, you are a great teacher!
Just now I'm trying to understand how to play Nothing Shaking (the Beatles version), and I think the style has similarity with it. And the phrases you use, such as "3 on the A, 2 on the D, 1 on the B, and the rest strings open", are very informative for me, because I want to do such tutorials in English some day!
    Thank you, and see you!

Hi KPO, thanks for your kind words. Yes I also am a fan of the Beatles version of Nothing Shaking - it is very similar in terms of the run up between the chord changes. What an amazingly talented group they were. I am in awe of George Harrison's early guitar style which was so innovative. Your English is very good by the way! I made it to Japan in 2019 - what a beautiful country you have! Keep well my friend and best wishes! Colin

Oh, thank you for having come to Japan! I haven’t been to UK, but I have had a few opportunities to work with some members of Grizedale arts, based on Lawson Park, in Japan a few times. I like the Beatles and the rockahillbillies, and I know a few people in UK and Ireland, so I think I should choose the aria for me and my wife to travel abroad next time after COVID pandemic! See you!

    What a fun song to play!! I'm hearing that last short verse as: C-strum G-strum C-strum G-strum F-strum C-strum F (1/6) F (1/6) E (0/6) F (1/6) G-strum B-strum and repeat until the ending C chord-- I think!! Thanks a lot!! 👏👏👏👏
