youre right. The rush hours are crazy. Buses everywhere...diferent agencies like Foothill, Gardena, Torrance, Santa Monica, OCTA, AVTA, SCT, LADOT, tons of stuff. lol.
lol. I agree. LAUSD have many Crowns ( sticks & automatic ), Super Crowns, and Gillig school buses in their fleet. If you listen around 3:05, you can hear that NABI backfiring.
Oh yeah i also hear the Nabies and NFI C-40 LF buses with the series 50G engines making that PSH,psh, psh sound preetty cool and the Octa Nabi LNG buses with the series 50G engines" wow."
Metro sometimes uses Rapid buses on Local/Express lines. I've seen Rapid 45C-LFWs and Rapid C40LFs on the 460. I've also ridden on 5383, a Rapid C40LF, on the 127.
That's a Crown school bus. There were made in Southern California until 1991 when the company went under. Carpenter bought the name but destroyed the dies that made the distinctive body style.
@nicolasgordiano - The new CEO wants to bring everything back into one color scheme. Hopefully he brings back the old tri-stripe paint scheme ( scrtd ). That looks good on any bus.
At least CTA (Chicago Transit Authority) was smart enough not to buy any more NABI's and went to New Flyer's. The current CTA NABI artics built around early 2000's bout to retire early due to cracks on the frame on the turntable joints. they have pulled the entire NABI fleet due to safety reasons
What is the difference between: Metro Local - Orange Metro Rapid - Red Metro Express - Blue Metro Liner - Silver Not being the colors? How do they work?
the CTA artics are not the brt's. there the only artics in the nation built for them with the redesigned front cap like the 40lfw's. there is a reason why NFI will not build a CNG or Lng Artic yet. its too bad neoplan usa went out of business those were great buses to drive
Personally the MTA should have kept buying New Flyer buses Instead of those shitty NABI buses. Ask any mechanic and they will tell you there shitty too but at least it gives them overtime. and futhermore I want to add that all the California transit agency's cannot hold a candle to the transit system infrastructure in Washington state.
I miss the high floor buses the most back when I was a little kid
Now New Flyer makes CNG artics, XN60 Xcelsior.

Series 50G-powered New Flyer C40LFs rule!!! I like the sound it makes at 2:04. I also like the NABI 60-BRT.

I love those NABI BRTs, especially the hybrids.

In June 2013, New Flyer bought NABI and made it a subsidiary. Hopefully that will improve the quality of NABI buses.
Rode 5420 today, now repowered to ISL-G, on line 120.
Nice. How long do you think it will take for all of the white buses to be painted into the local scheme?

Bloody hell, the old yellow school bus just lifted off. Talk about BHP.
Downtown LA should be known as the bus capital of the world.

the new blue line and expo line train cars suck, the seats are too close together its uncomfortable

wat is up wit that?
mta shouldve gotten NF artics. Those 60brts are butt ugly....for the moment though nabi is that only one that makes a cng artic.
