I had initially planned to retire at 62, work part-time, and save money, but the impact of high prices on various goods and services has significantly disrupted my retirement plan. I'm worried about whether those who experienced the 2008 financial crisis had it easier than I currently am. The volatility of the stock market is a concern as my income has decreased, and I fear that I won't be able to contribute as much as before, potentially jeopardizing my retirement savings.

This is precisely why I like having a portfolio coach guide my day-to-day market decisions: with their extensive knowledge of going long and short at the same time, using risk for its asymmetrical upside and laying it off as a hedge against the inevitable downward turns, their skillset makes it nearly impossible for them to underperform. I've been utilizing a portfolio coach for more than two years, and I've made over $800,000.

This is very important! The world is de-dollarizing as we speak. On top of that, the Feds have been printing money like mad since 9/11/2001. We're paying (or promising to pay) $1 Trillion per year in interest on $34 Trillion national debt. That means that the present value of our future debt is $157 Trillion. On top of that, the only thing that has propped up our fiat dollar is oil. Thanks to the BRICS+ alliance, oil can be traded internationally, circumventing the dollar. On top of that the move to de-dollarization means, all of those dollars floating freely in the World are about to be repatriated. Google the risks to an economy when $Trillions and $Trillions suddenly come back home to roost! HINT: China, the largest holder of U.S. Bonds (by a lot!) has begun dumping U.S. Treasuries...
Meanwhile, the U.S. complicit in a bad faith NATO goings-on, and a genocide, is being isolated along with Netanyahu. What is the U.S. Congress doing to address the wheels coming off of the U.S. bus? Holding kangaroo court over Hunter Biden's laptop and supporting a racist, buffoon indicted on felonies in 4 jurisdictions, who with 6 bankruptcies to his credit, is uniquely unqualified to lead us out of this mess.
(Is that Nero I hear fiddling in the distance?)
      Are you alarmed, yet?

Your comment would be true if all China offers is money. However, China actually builds roads, airports, ports, and other infrastructure that stays in African countries. You can argue if they are being fully utilized, but the infrastructures are physically there, used by locals. A bank can take over your house if you don't pay. Which countries did China take over? How can China force another country to pay? How many times did Chinese military go abroad to "teach the diligent countries a lesson"? China's so-called debt trap diplomacy has been echoing for decades now. To call China a colonizer, China should at least took over a dozen countries already. Did that happen? If so, how come there is also equal amount of media reports that China is doomed due to trillions of insolvent foreign debt? Which one is it? 🙂

@TheNewGuy-wd6xb You must have missed my point that many of these loans are granted by the New Development Bank. The terms are negotiated between the African countries and the NDB. It is true that China is a member of that bank, but so is India.
Furthermore, what’s wrong with a lender ceasing assets when the borrower defaults on its payments? Does your bank not take your house when you stop paying your mortgage? China builds roads, bridges etc for other countries. When they failed to make payments after the work is done, China obviously can’t take the roads and bridges away the way that your bank would cease your house. So the next best option would be to accept resources in leu of payments. At no time did China send troops into the borrower’s country and demand payments. Is this ‘looting’? Obviously, India is in a somewhat different predicament as it didn’t build roads and bridges for other countries.

Ridiculous propaganda by Palki Sharma. Botswana ranks higher than India in almost all international rankings yet Botswana has loans from China. Palki is trying to block Africa from trading with China even though China has never colonized Africa. Palki now calls butter trading "colonialism". Its absurd.
Multiple countries including India do butter trading but Palki doesn't think its colonialism. Its only when China trades with Africa that she thinks its wrong. China has invested the most in Africa than all of the west combined because China wants Africa to develop. China knows that a developed Africa will be a growth engine for the Chinese economy. It's win win. China doesn't want to create animosity in Africa. Also China can't be blamed for mismanagement of funds by African leaders.
    Palki is pathetic.

Just look at the airports, the hydroelectric dams, the thousands of kilometres of Roads and Rairoads, the hospitals, the schoolls, etc etc…built by the PRC in the last 10 years, and the billions and billions and billions of dollars spent…

And you can’t denial it. If the western want to do good, they should build roads schools hospitals etc this is what Africa needs.

China will first give you loans for building roads , bridges , hospitals and ports and when you cant pay the loan, they will simply take control of them as mentioned in the contract . Perfect examples are hambantota port in srilanka and also the OBOR in Pakistan. Africans who think that china is doing good for them will learn it the hard way later on
