For the record, there is a carrying strap. It’s on the back of the mattress. You need to make sure the mattress is rotated correctly in the bag so that the strap comes out that hole you mentioned in the video.

When packing this crib up for travel, there is a fabric carrying strap on the black side of the mattress. It lines up with that little opening on the carrying case.
I should have taken more advantage of this crib with my first child. But I'm getting lots of use with my second. I set it up in the living room & have used it for every single diaper change & for keeping all the newborn essentials (burp cloths, bibs, wipes, diapers, aspirator, swaddle blankets) close. It's been a lifesaver to have it all within arms reach while trying to corral my toddler & calm a newborn.
