  • In this video i will do a hardware Plex 4K transcode test of Intels Arc A380 graphics card. This video is being made so people can make an informed decision when deciding parts for their Plex server build. This is the second of many more to come and I will use the same movies for each test video. Im using 4k movies only because its the best way to test the strength of your plex server. Please be advised your results may differ if your using REMUX 4k videos which are bigger in file size. Please Like, Comment, Subscribe!

    THANK YOU!!! I can really appreciate this because I cant find anyone else on YT doing this. Intel A380s that dont need external power are super cheap and using them as transcode monsters is the perfect use for them.

    I really appreciate this. I have an A380 in a Dell Poweredge T330 that doesn't officially support dGPUs. It works great but I haven't tried maxing out the 4K transcodes yet.

    Awesome video. What about 1080p streams? I have an 380 just doing av1 encoding for me right now and using an i9 1200k iGPU for transcode

    Why transcode to 720p and not 1080p? No one would want 720p. Unrealistic test.

    • @GeekShhh
      @GeekShhh  Před 15 dny

      Started out with 720p and would like to keep things the same for all. Not fond of doing both because that would make the videos longer. Try to keep them short and sweet as possible. Thanks for watching and commenting!
