Children first this Child Protection Week

Children's rights are at the forefront as National Child Protection Week is commemorated from May 28 to June 4.
Child Protection Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of the rights of children in accordance to the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa and Children's Act (Act No. 38 of 2005).
Review spoke to the South African Police Service's Victim Support Centre project manager Regina Mailula who explained the importance of Child Protection Week.
Mailula said they will be visiting schools around the city to educate learners about their rights, bullying and abuse.
