Sledgehammer smashing two pieces of iron much harder this time.
They should change the people in the sound department
Yeah the Sawtooth literally sounds like generic stock sounds.
I agree, this has been a problem since COD WWII
I don’t think they understand how big a PTRS-41 really is
You couldn’t shoulder a PTRS for more than 10 seconds, let alone shoot one from the shoulder. Kinda nostalgic from WaW though ngl.
Do you seriously think they don't know how the gun looks like or how big it is? Obviously they had to scale it down for the game...
I think you expect too much from the studio that made a drum mag attachment for the m1 garand
Every gun size in this game is exaggerated for a reason
It's that so people don't have visual problems with the guns
We gonna see a clusterfuck of gun crimes (In the cycle of Vanguard).
0:25 PTRS with detachable magazine….SIN.
0:19 also a PTRS magazine that somehow be able to open while the bolt is closed when doing a tac reload
0:43 it’s nice to see an old Hawaiian shark tooth sword, coming from a person from both Japanese and Hawaiian heritage

They added a lot of metallic sounds to the reloads, too much substance. MW was concise with the sound and precise. To me at least.
I could get behind this style of sound design if the weapons were actually distinct from one another. The amount of sounds that are recycled between guns is just ruining it for me. Everything sounds the same. No other CoD dev ships weapons that sound this similar to one another.
I agree. The guns sound like they're loosely assembled and will fall apart any minute. Not to mentioned all the recycled sounds. Reminds me of Black Ops 2 reload sounds. No excuse for that in a 50GB+ game. I can't wait for IW to be back behind the wheel for MW2.
it might have to do with the actual weapons and magazines, most of the MW mags are polymer or aluminum, old school magazines were mostly steel and the bug. beefy springs in those old school mag releases sound like that, weapons of that era were built to a level of durability that you dont really see today (it's not just because they are classics that you still see old surplus second or pre ww2 era stuff still kicking around, that crap was designed not exactly to be super high end but to survive abuse by people who by today's standards had very basic maintenance knowledge and training)
@@josephmontanaro2350 Yeah I don't have an issue with the sounds at a fundamental level. I'm no expert on gun manufacturing and materials, but in general the style of sounds they use make sense for the types of guns and the materials they are made of. The failure of Vanguard's sound design for me is that weapon sound profiles are way too similar and individual weapons lack a distinct identity. Weapons of the same class mostly blend together from one to the next due to many sound assets being recycled across the suite. The best example of this are the bolt-action snipers which all use the exact same sound for pulling the bolt. This particular sound, alongside the fire sfx, is probably one of the most important sounds for a sniper's identity and they just copy pasted the same one for each. It's just disappointing.
@@rekt_n_line Activision: so how many sound we need?
sound designer: 1
Nice to see the ptrs41 anti tank rifle, tho it never had a removable magazine
Not to mention when doing tactical reload on a base mag, the magazine can't be opened while the bolt is closed.
PTRD is the true chad AT rifle, "magazine? clip? NYET! 1 round at a time, anything else wasteful and frivolous comrade!"
This is CoD Vanguard: the game with extremely cursed magazine conversion options for every weapon.
Here's the big question: In the game, it looks like it's a 3 round magazine, with 1 in the chamber during a tactical reload. I highly doubt that they bothered to give you 4 shots if you do a tactical reload.
@@lizardizzle are you talking about the base mag or fast mag? All i know is irl the PTRS can hold 5 rounds in a clip.
It's funny how Sledgehammer had good sound design in Advanced Warfare but not in WW2 or in Vanguard
All the guns have this weird echo-ey metallic sound when they reload that I can't describe.
Hearing MW reload is one of the most satisfying thing I ever heard (ASMR), Vanguard animation are good not gonna lie but the sound design and reload sound feel so off, IDK maybe I adore the MW sound too much that I think it’s a big shame that good animation but don’t have the same quality as MW did (IMO).
Imo it ain’t “shit” but they could def be better imo
I really wish that sound designers would start understanding that guns don't fucking rattle when you simply move them around and reload them.
Yeah right?
Me: see's the PTRS -41 mag.
Also me: How dare you, Sledgehammer, How dare you destroy such relic
What's wrong with that
I guess they'd casually ignore any italian made guns or french?
They ignore factions in the first place.
The Breda PG (or whatever fictionalized name they call the 4-round burst rifle) is technically Italian. Not fielded by the Italians but made by Italians. :P
I’m pretty sure the Itra burst is Italian AFAIK
@@DeNihility I meant something more legit like the MAB-38 which was liked and used by Germans throughout the war. And Not the random scattered itra thing that was exported to Costa Rica
@@lionelidromeno6180 Browning Hi-Power would also be good. Used by like, everyone.
0:12 look how they massacred my boy PTRS
Damnit they reused sounds again.
Wgat did you expect from activision?
@@trucctrucc245 It's not Activision, it's Sledgehammer. Infinity Ward and even Treyarch makes new sounds for DLC weapons.
@@Oyebadumn bruh so what? Same guns same metal same reload sounds
@@salazar7097 Metal don't sound like eating wet dog food.
@@Oyebadumn let me tell you that every call of duty that's apperently great reused sounds like mw3 reused sounds from mw2 and mw2 from mw and bo2 from bo so who gives a fuck whether they reused some sounds and they don't sound like eating dog food by the way
Pretty Good
I like crunchy reload sounds, but there’s a point where they’re too crunchy.
Vanguard should’ve just been a WaW Remaster and that’s it
Is it me, or does any one hate the clanking noises done on the reloads that make the gun feel hollow like they did in WW2?
I dont know what is wrong with SHG
they make reload sounds much more louder then actual fire sound in their games like ww2 and aw
I wish they remade Cod waw with modern warfare animation (without vanguard weird customization system)
vanguard's gunsmith is great though
@@JF-vz1ju cursed but interesting.
@@JF-vz1ju It is but its cursed plus even the historian doesn’t want to look at those bizarre weapons with fictional attachments (some of them can make them accurate)
The reloads sound like you’re riffing through your ammo
Well I know what Is coming so I should keep myself silent.
that big sniper rifle reminded me of that girl from darker than black
Here before it explodes
it's a shame that these good animations are paired with recycled metal reload animations. I don't mind this particular sound, but there's no distinction between guns. Sometimes, the reload sound helps people identify the gun being used for competitive purposes or gives them individuality.
Well reload animations won’t prove “distinction” in a competitive setting, but the gun sounds themselves will.
is this really what warranted the 45gb update?
0:25 Look how they have massacred my boy
0:19 iirc, isn't the PTRS' magazine can't be opened while the bolt is closed?
Wait there was no Thompson in vanilla?
No, sledgehammer ptrs doesn't feed like this
at least the game has, "tenohenkai, banzai!!!" now
Damn Looks Like real life when look up but not lol🤣🤣
I didn't know what the first gun was lol, thanks
Tried searching for it, couldnt find it, reminds me of some civilians using it in ww2
@@SeraIsFAKE Isn't that a fictional gun? I never seen it.
@@Ajay-dy3xw maybe this would be your useful reference: en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/M1944_Hyde_Carbine
There is also a Forgotten Weapons page about it on its website, but unfortunately i can't put the link here because it was automatically deleted when i do so.
@@v12ts.gaming Thanks
M1944 Hyde Carbine, it's basically an upscaled Thompson chambered in .30 Carbine and with a quick change barrel like the MG-42, it sadly never went past the prototype phase.
Still a quite cool gun to include in the game regardless.
I really hate that metallic sound when you reload, but the animation and sound is good
Oh my gosh the trash sound by Sledgehammer
Why is it so damn crunchy
Ah nice a ptrs
Bro this actually sounds like someone eating chips with there mouth open
Impact that actually vanguard deserve are very nice and beautiful.. that a "quality of game" and who just want realism game.. just make your own game lmao
I feel it's too repetitive and bothering to keep hearing the reused sound of the clanking metal cans, as some people described, on every guns.
Anims nice, it's these pesky sounds, ugh, the sounndsss...
Models look good too.
Maybe the sounds are shit but i'm happy they put a PTRS
I love that gun in every game it appears
But,the PTRD it's a better concept for me,a Single Shot Sniper
PTRD should be more balanced as it is a single shot, but since we already have a PTRS, maybe a Panzerbüsche would do because it's a single shot AT rifle too.
شنو اسم لعبه لله جنت دور عليها طيني فدوه
Sound design is still awful
PTRS with a detachable magazine, why?
But overall, pretty good animations
0:25
Russian Barrett 50cal
The PTRS is actually 14.5x114mm, way larger than a .50 BMG as it was designed to bust tanks.
Anyone remember when Activision actually did research before making shit thinking that they knew what they were doing
The audio on large guns in Vanguard kinda stinks, but all the tinks fit really well for the smaller SMG's and Handguns.
Animations are nice though, if the sound was better on the PTRS it'd be really good, love the weight.
That's it?
Call of duty ww2 but in war zone
Animation good as always, sounds are reused, and they massacred my boy PTRS-41, the weapon line up is a bit lacking.
Wth happened to the iconic american weapons like the M1 carbine or the grease gun. These two weapons were used alot alongside the garands, tommies, and bars. They also just forgot about french and italian forces even though most of us knew that italian and french forces were important during the war despite being bad at warfare themselves.
Those will added thru next season. BFV doesn't even have the Garand and the Grease gun from the get-go until the Pacific Update.
@@v12ts.gaming I know they will in the next seasons but when I saw these guns weren't added in the base game saddens me.
@@TheGamingBurger734 just saying, bro.
@@v12ts.gaming and I'm just saying that it would've been nice to see these two guns in the campaign
@@TheGamingBurger734 that's unfortunate for you, they don't have those guns from the get-go, and even did they added those guns thru Season Pass, they don't usually add DLC guns on campaign missions.
katana
Sound: bad and reused
Animations: well animated but to violent on the weapon
Weapons: out of era
I actually really like this game. It was exactly what i wanted from Cold War, a copy but in ww2. It would be perfect if it weren’t for the 10 attachment slots and horrendous customization.
I don't know whats worse this game or my depressions
STILL NO INSPECT ANIMATION LMAOOOO
just copy and paste cod ww2 svt-40 reload sound everywhere i love it :/
Guns sounds like its going to fell apart
Literally sounds like sand is stuck in the guns mag well and charging handle gross
yeah that's not ideal but it happens, it's generally better to keep things clean but in the trenches or the desert dirt, grime and sand get everywhere
Activision just made Vanguard useless by adding katana abusing
These WW2 reloads by sledgehammer have always sucked. They make the guns rattle and jiggle so much!
If I had to describe what CoD reloads turned into: The guns feel loose. Like theyre about to come apart with every movement. And the character, with the aggressive screenshake, feels like they are just straight up trying to fistfight that gun. I hate CoD reloads.
I don't care about sounds its good and anything is good in my opinion even if it inaccurate

They really like these shitty ass reload sound dont they ?
Not changed after 4 years i see
Mg42 reload literally copied from mw
They are different animations there just similar
Sledgehammer fucking sucks at making sounds for their weapons
Reload sounds are junk
wtf is with these reload sounds? it's as if they got two oily steel or iron ingots and just knocked and slid them about to make the sounds....
They literally could have reused sounds from MW2019 and it would have been far better than this crap.
God that sounds terrible, the animations gives me MW vibes but the sounds give me shitty CodWW2 Vibes
Why does everything sound like some guys going through a childs toy collection....
Or a game from the 1980s.
Jesus this is so poorly made.
