I had a very similar experience with a pair of pied twins, and mine didn't make it after I ligated the dead mass from the umbilicus. It went a few weeks and never dropped its first shed. It came out of the egg 18 grams.

You have to keep the beard and trim the stach and pick up some extra cash doing the santa thing this December! Bamboos look great nice and big just had my first clutch this year and the babys where all small like the beL . new young female first clutch and she was just big enough and gave eight eggs. Still assist feeding three out of seven (one twisted umbilical died) four doing great. Cant wait to start breeding this year. Got so much good info on breeding and morph info on buying my breeders years back . wanted to thank you for the great videos.

Both of my Lesser / Bamboo Bel's were super skinny when born but they have both taken to food really well so your baby should be perfectly fine after getting a few meals. As far as the pattern braking through. Take a black light to the baby to see if there is any hidden pattern. Both of mine have hidden pattern/gene's in them from the paring. Super awesome clutch
With you a bamboo calicos I've got a bamboo yellow belly redhead axanthic male and he's got the high whites that look just like that so I think the axanthic also does that to the bamboo as well cuz it looks almost like that but it's got the pointed tips where the head markings are

I dont know if its my phone or what but your bamboos look almost axanthic. Even when mine is in shed he doesnt have tgose grey shades. Mine is like a brownish army green color on his patern and it just dulls when he goes into shed. You definately have a really nice line of bamboo . Bobby has done good for you passing on his genetics lol. My bamboo male is very tame and chill just like bobby is. Its crazy how different genetics have different temperaments. My bamboos are super chill but all my black pastel or red axanthic and gargoyles are insane and mean nomatter what i do.

Today my ball python finally laid eggs hopefully I get them to hatch I watched all your videos and I followed your instructions on how to set up my egg box I got nine eggs it looks like seven or fertile two might not hatch they are champagne itchy clowns so hopefully I get something the mama was a hat for pied wish me some luck
Question. When u have a hatchling that has eaten 5 hoppers so far, can i now switch to mice or does she need a few more hoppers still? When do u typically switch from hoppers to mice. I watched ur vid about it but u didn’t specifically say when u switch. Thanks chris. Love ur work!

Hi Chris I have a question regarding heating my enclosures, I use a OSB3 enclosure but because there is no glass I can't use heat mats for my ball pythons. What is your best recommendation regarding heating a OSB3 enclosure?
Ok I have a ? ,I breed a few of my female earlier in the year ,and I saw a lot of locks but no egg have came from it is it normal to have the first time breeders not produce eggs
@@mrmouse-ol9pw thank you, I'm so glad, too, because that's what I bought, a huge bag, and so far, three clutches sitting in it, or on it, as my egg crate didn't come in time, and is larger than they said it was, so I'll have to try and cut it to fit. Once again, I thank you for your response. That's what I absolutely love about the reptile community, we're here for each other.
