    Fuzzy wuzzy was my mat. I've watched videos about fixing that. 😉 I saw that others remember that poem. Thanks for another useful video!

      I like having the separate mat so I don’t have to clean the fuzzies every time I make a mess.

    Never thought about using any other seam but straight. I'll be using your idea from now on. Thanks!

      The curved seam is nice for long seams. If I’m making my fabric postcards I like the little strips of interfacing. It’s nice to have options.

    Catch up time again. This time last week I was almost at my holiday destination. Can't believe that was a week ago!! Time seems to fly by quicker the older you get haha. Makes my brain fuzzy just thinking about it :)

      Time does fly. They say when your kids are young time flies but I say It goes by faster when they’re adults and out of the house.

    Great idea. I use a little different method. Thank you for posting!

    Thanks for sharing this technique for batting. I’ll be trying it the next time I work with batting.

    Great ideas from the fuzzy mat to the designated rotary to the curve join. Great job Robin.

    Very interesting! I don’t have a fuzzy mat currently, but I’m keeping track of my mats’ condition.

    Always love learning new things. Thanks! I will try this out the next time I make my Franken batting. My fuzzy mat finally broke. It was 20 years old and no I wasn't misting it but I'm sure going to miss it.

      @rsislandcrafts  Před 3 lety +1

      I don’t miss my cutting mats either. 🤷‍♀️

  • @cardiodancefitwithlisamari6098

    Fuzzy wuzzy was a bear! This method worked out nice! When i tried it on the straight line when I made a quilt, it had waves....but luckily they didn't show when the quilt was finished!

      Yes! I’ve had that problem. I steam pressed It to death and hoped for the best. 😆

    My dog is doing her winter shedding so I look fuzzy. Good thing I have a sticky lint remover.

    • @rsislandcrafts
      @rsislandcrafts  Před 3 lety +1

      Shedding dogs are bad. We have tile floors and when our dog was shedding we’d see fur tumbleweeds blowing down the hall from the ac.

    Fuzzy. I never thought to use “steri strips”. See you later

      They’re great especially for small projects like mug rugs.

    Fuzzy fuzzy was a bear, fuzzy wuzzy had no hair. So fuzzy wuzzy went to see Robin and got some batting fuzz for some weird color hair.🙃🤪

      🤣. I used to sing that to my kids all of the time. I loved It.

    Why sew them together?

    • @rsislandcrafts
      @rsislandcrafts  Před 2 lety +1

      Many times when we make quilts we have a long strip of batting left on each side of the quilt. Especially if you send It off to a long armer. That could be 6” wide or more by the length of your quilt. You could just throw them away. Or you could sew them together and use them for another project like a table runner or mini quilt. Some people just butt them together but for me they tend to shift while I’m quilting my project. There is a fusible batting tape that you can use but I don’t mind sewing them together. One less thing to buy and most likely misplace.

      🤣. My hair gets wavy and curly. I look like Bozo the clown. 🤣
