    Do not rent,I know people who did and it's a nightmare if you get losers and other scum.

    It would probably only make sense to rent if there was a way to protect yourself from people who destroy your property because they can’t be criminally charged for vandalism.

    These "pretty" optimistic videos are such lies. The reality is your renters will *not* pay their rent, leaving you having to cover the mortgage. Then something will break - but as a landlady, you are expected to make the house habitable, thereby requiring you to make repairs even when a renter is *not* paying. Before you know it, home owner's insurance and taxes are due. And on, and on, and on ... Owning a rental is never as "clean," clear-cut and passive as it's claimed to be, *not* even when you have a property manager!
