Watch this emotional performance from a teen refugee who inspired performers Danielle de Niese & Mr Michael Ball to record a special duet of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s iconic song.
Solomiia, a 16-year-old violinist from Ukraine, was studying at a music school when the war broke out. Her family was forced to flee to Poland.
Upon hearing her story, IRC ambassador Danielle de Niese and Michael Ball, who are starring in the West End’s Aspects of Love decided to dedicate a special performance to Solomiia for Refugee Week.
Refugees bring so much to their host countries, shaping music, art, culture and policies in ordinary and extraordinary ways.
Share if you agree that everyone deserves a safe home to follow their dreams and ambitions.
