When I listen to this song, I always think to be in another world, it’s just an awesome song!!! I don’t even think I’m going to exaggerate if I say that it is the best song ever!
Anybody who says babies would be made to this song doesn’t understand the theme/meaning of the song. When she says “how did you go from being a momma’s boy to a lady’s man” you have to infer that these two people have known each other their whole lives, they watched each other grow up. Then the guy is basically trying to use the girl because he’s known her for so long, she says “I’m not going home with you tonight.” Then she says but they could take it slow, they could slow dance, implying that she’s actually falling in love with him and wants to make sure it’s not all rushed. She wants to take things slow, have a real emotional relationship, not just a relationship filled with sex. Love, not lust.
I can still see babies being made by this song, especially since it's about love and not lust. I can also see the babies named Molly for the girls, Clark(son) for the boys and Kelly for both. Your daughter did a great job on both songs. What else has she written?

I was just trying to think about what songs have helped me through hard times, answering your question. It’s tough for me to say, because there’s been so many, but this year was especially difficult because I was actually scared for the first time I can remember. Terrified. Like a man on the run for his life. Giving 12yrs to a wife and work and finally facing the truth that I had stood by and let myself be taken advantage of by both of them and it was totally my doing, I wasn’t sure if I wanted to live anymore because I had been so careless with the life that had been given to me. And, on top of that, with a clear head from drugs and alcohol, I’ve dwelled on the people I left behind that loved me and would have never taken advantage of me. I’ve actually mourned them, even though they’re alive, painfully. Hating myself for being so careless, but realizing my self view, at the time, was that I wasn’t any good for them because I didn’t think very highly of myself at all. But, you’ve honestly held my hand, through this year, and so have many others, but not everyday like you have. And the whole time my heart hurting for what you’re going through, yourself, but you didn’t let it slow you down from spreading love and that’s so damn courageous. Its f’n awesome. It’s distracted me enough, from my own pain, to make me want to live again and for that I’m eternally grateful. I’m still scared as hell, but I want to make better use of my life this time. Our lives can’t me measured by years or even decades, but in the moments and in the days that bundle them together. Sun up to sun down, that’s living. That’s thriving and not just surviving, even though I feel I’m still in the surviving stage, you’re helping me get through it because I’d always hate to miss what yo cute ass got planned next. Oh, before I started rambling, 😄, I was thinking of telling you “River” by Leon Bridges was one song that takes me away. Lifts me up in the moments when I’m drowning in emotions. But as soon as I picked up my phone, this song was on my screen and I was so excited to hear you sing that I started playing it and I giggled a little bit, because the music at the beginning made me think, if just for a second, whether I had started playing “River”. Then it made me grin even more that it sounded like it, and I had been thinking about it, but it was in fact you.
