Great video thanks. Just starting out so all good information. Finding lures rigs combinations to be confusing right now.
There is an option for no weight add this first and then you can add lures like the jenko swimbait. if you have a Texas rig or jig head on you can not add a lure so use the no weight option and it will open up the tackle box selections. This is an older video some things have changed with the updates that have made to the game Like reel speed. Have fun fishing.
@@ProfessorSmoothGames Ok thank you very much. So I guess the Texas and Carolina rigs are for deeper fishing with sinkbaits and as you say the swimbaits or spoons are for surface fishing. I will get it eventually.

Heres a tip. You dont need to adjust your reel speed when reeling in fish. Keep it at 5. Reel speed is more for the speed you want to work your bait
This game has several bugs. The sound bug happens everytime you drop a waypoint. Sponsor discounts rarely appear. In Bassmaster Royale it seems that the lobby is peer hosted and if that person quits it kills the lobby. Trollimg motor bugs out sometimes. You cant really do anything to increase your max cast distance. This is an issue when it comes to lures like diving crankbaits because on the deep divers by time your lure gets down fo max depth it already starts coming back up. Lures should come in different weights, reason being because if you want to fish for example with a rattle trap and you want it go down deeper than 3 to 4 feet you have to wait forever for it to sink.
This game is basically the 2021 version of the old sega bass fishing game from the late 90s early 2000. Arcadey fishing game. Its nowhere near a fishing sim. Fishing Planet is way better if you want more sim
I have trolling motor issues too For the diving crank baits set your reel speed to 2-3 as soon as you start reeling in it dives very quick set up back to 1 and then work it, try it out and let me know
@@ProfessorSmoothGames yes that works as well but the amount of line you take in doing that is still an issue when you can only cast 25-30 yards
@@TeezMonkey have you tried full cast control yet? I went out 40 yards a few times, but I'm not consistent yet.
It IS basically sega bass fishing only with real equipment, and that's why i love it. My dad to this day at 62 years old still says "small one" and "okay an average size!" when we go fishing because of SBF on Dreamcast

How do you know when and what size line, every time I set the hook it just says fish lost and I ,have been playing for 3 months now I've got all sponsors with 100% off ,But how is 5lb fish breaking 50 lb braid.

How do you add a waypopint on a map of a spot you found to fish later?
@professorsmooth At 6:45 into the vid, you said …”once snagged, it’s over.”… except if you’ve got heavy braided line and are ripping out the snags fast enough, you’ll see predatory reaction bites. As for “real life” basin’, square billed and fiberboard lipped crankbaits actually are and were designed to replicate a feeding, injured, and/or a shad scratching itself along structures. Plus lily’s and weeds are the same or similar to bark and stones, but I live for Waterfowling and BassHunts… Great Vids… can you possibly make an advanced “Basics” such as Mastery’s and Expertise. Even a thorough run over of how the Sonars relationship to your body or boat position. Even if you are able to sore lip a “Legend” or Different weather conditions needing different retrieving and/or color and/or size. Proper Retrieving of all the “Types”- constant, s&g, Twitch, deadsticking, Water Temperature and Day/Night lights effects and how to Hunt or Target certain fish and easy ways to avoid others… plus a walkthrough or “Career” may even be a good one… Thanks 4 the Time,

I made a part 2 for this video and other videos as well targeting catfish gear set up, it is hard to target one fish since most lakes have a lot of different fish that will bite the same lure. I also have some hot spot videos that shows where to fish in career mode. The game has been patched a few times and a lot has changed. Have fun fishing.

If I remember that is the number of lures you get when you buy them and some have ∞ symbol you have unlimited amount of those lures.

That HUD on Screen telling what quality of strike goin across the center of the screen was patched out, so you can gauge it upon the left side of the drag and line tension on bottom left of your screen… (I Believe?.?.?.)
Really appreciate the videos Smooth. After playing the game for awhile, can't figure out how to get my boat to go its Max speed/power. How do you raise the power level of your motor?
I play on xbox so i just hold down the Right trigger and it goes on PC i think it is W. R2 on playstation never have issues with it the longer you hold it the faster it goes until you reach top speed.

How many you can buy i think that is what you are asking. I dont buy that many I dont loose them very often.
I'm having a tough time changing baits on my equipment. I but some crankbaits, but where are they? I got it to work but not sure how, selecting the bait from the purchased tackle is tough. Can you help? Thanks
Crankbait can not have weight. Make sure you select No Weight First and then you will have the option to add crankbaits. Hope this helps

How do change to view lure underwater? I have tried everything I can think of with no luck. Xbox wireless controller.
On xbox I think you press the left stick down. They have an icon for it in the lower right hand corner.

Figured it out. You just get on your boat like your about to cast as time runs out and you go to the weigh in screen
How you change baits that you got pick on your rods
on xbox press Y the tackle box icon while you are standing up on your boat.

Pick the loadout, it goes 2 ya tackle, change it from there. That's what I did, couldn't pick a loadout I made.
How to weigh in
this seems to be an issue for some users not sure if it is a bug, for me I just wait until the clock reaches zero in a tournament and the weigh in screen comes up just make sure you are not in the drivers seat of the boat. In the tutorial it said in some events you have to go back to the boat landing in the college and open series I just keep fishing until the clock runs down to zero
