    I have been using the Bare Minerals original powder foundation for at least 20 years. I’ve started using the tinted gel cream for my primer. I have found the secret to good coverage, as you mentioned, was buffing it into your skin. Buff, buff, buff, and then buff some more! I’ve always liked the coverage and the feeling of having no make-up on at all. I do used the mineral veil finishing powder to set it. Thanks for the demos!

    Terrific video! Bare pro is my favorite too. I use it for more special days, and then I use the powder foundation or the gel tinted moisturizer for casual days. Another trick I have found is to use a bit of the Barepro on my bad age spots, like a concealer, underneath the powder or tinted moisturizer foundations on casual days as well. In my opinion you just can’t beat Bare Minerals. Thanks for a great video!

      Hi Kim!! I don’t think you get that much more coverage with the new mineral foundation than the Complexion Rescue. If you want more coverage I would go for the Bare Pro. The key is to use a smaller amount and use a hydrating moisturizer or primer underneath. My other suggestion is to use the powder foundation on top of your Complexion Rescue just where you need an little more coverage. Hope this helps!!

      @@bxgal347 Exact same for me. I started using the original powder when it first came out as an infomercial. I am now 60 and still using it. Through all of my skin changes as I aged, this mineral foundation has just changed right along with me and still works as well for me now as a grandma as it did when my children were preschool age. My favorite thing about it is I cannot feel it on me (feels no different than when I have no makeup on) and it has no odor to it. Liquid foundations is too perfumey for me. I also like I can blend 2 or more colors together to match my changing skin tone. I am lighter in winter, but skin is tanned in the summer. I can also keep it forever and it does not go bad. Being a dry powder, I don't even have to wash my brushes after every use. I like that too.

    Very well done! I enjoyed your video and also love Bare Mineral products. My one thought, and this is just my opinion is that you should try a different color of eye shadow. You have lovely eyes but the color you're using doesn't bring that out to me. Again, I did enjoy the video!

    My bare pro is looking patchy and I use the luxe brush moisture rich bare minerals moisturiser, and the prime time primer from bare minerals. I’m 30 and my skin in combination. Love the foundation but before it settles into my skin it seems to sit poorly. How do you use the foundation and have hydrated looking skin ?

    • @KZBeautyCoach
      @KZBeautyCoach  Před 2 lety +1

      Great question! So I always do skin prep with a good moisturizer and then a sunscreen before I put my primer on. Then I use a hydrating primer because my skin can be drier. My trick for Bare Pro is to apply it to one section of your face at a time and use the smallest amount to start and slowly build to your preferred coverage level. Also try to stamp or buff the foundation in instead of using a swiping motion. I hope this helps. You could also add a drop of facial oil to the BarePro to give it a little more hydration power.

    I only wear BareMinerals powder foundations! I just don’t like anything else.
    I started with the Original powder foundation but since my skin is naturally too shiny I needed something matte. They then bought out their Ready powder foundation and that was my favourite ever. However they discontinued it and bought out a different ‘improved’ version, BarePro, and it was not as good. Felt a little itchy, slight unpleasant smell, and didn’t layer with concealer.
    So I switched to the loose Matte powder foundation. I liked that. Very similar to the Ready foundation. Then they discontinued that too!
    Luckily I still have some left but I wish BareMinerals wouldn’t dump their best products. It’s so annoying.
    I’m going to try the new Matte tinted moisturiser. I have never liked liquid foundation but maybe I could be won over by a matte tinted moisturiser, we’ll see.
    I don’t particularly need much coverage. My skin is usually clear it just needs evening out and the shine removed.

    I know this to be fact that baremineral powder foundation. Flat dense Kabuki. The brush that you're using is still too fluffy. I truly love mineral essence makeup compared to bare minerals. They've never advertised or a small makeup company and I adore their makeup.
    I used to use bareMinerals on our models for many of our jewelry shoots. I can use the makeup itself to contour and chisel a person's face or body. The brush you are using, big no no no. And I always suggest, does eyebrow shavers the little comb looking ones. Very thin Auto razor shaver I don't know what to call them. I always use one of those, before I apply any powder foundation. And or if they have any major peach fuzz all over their face, if you really want to flawless application and to look perfect. Shave that face. And I don't mean dermaplaning. I prefer this razor, because it doesn't affect the skin it does not cause people to get ingrown hairs. It's a quick way to remove hair, to give a nice canvas for your makeup. Now I didn't always use mineral makeup. But on days that I knew we were going to be in hot sunlight, we lived in Florida. Powder foundation was excellent for our models. Never melted off the face. But like I said. Removing that peach fuzz off your face can actually allow more of the mineral makeup to touch your skin. If you truly look in those 10x mirrors and you will see the powder foundation just sits upon your hairs on your face. Remove those. Get a denser brush. When I say flat top I mean flat tight Kabuki. bareMinerals original brush was animal hair. Why? Animal hair grabs more pigment, no matter what, so does your facial hair. It's been so long since I've checked out any bare minerals products besides their powder foundation. This is an awesome review.
    I kind of feel out of sorts. Going into Ulta they don't have what I want, my sephoras are small. It would take me 3 hours to drive to the nice Sephora. I'm not into a 6-hour trip for makeup. I hate sending products back and forth through mail. Redundant.
    Oh absolutely always use a setting spray with a powdered product. I used to make my own with glycerin rose water and lavender water. Both of those Waters are so hydrating to the skin, with a touch of glycerin it held the makeup on phenomenally. I once had a makeup artist say go ahead you can just use hairspray. You should have seen my face when I looked at him. Sheer terror and utter disgust. He said geez if looks good kill, I said geez you may kill your client's skin. You should be wary of my eyebrows. 🤔🥴🤨 🤣😂🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😅

    You didn’t apply the mineral powder foundation correctly. When buffing into the skin you must use circular motions and the more you buff the better the coverage. If you had buffed it in circular motions it would have been glowy like the liquid minerals.

    Why is a primer necessary?

  • @DiscoveryWonders
    @DiscoveryWonders Před 3 lety +1

    I like the bare pro on you, however I am shocked you don't prime and conceal upper eyelids and under brow area and under-eye area. once you cover the whole face with this foundation the veins pop out so much more. and are seen through the eyeshadow.( affect the eye shadow).
    Also when using bare pro, it is not going to be too dry if you apply a daily moisturizer with HA on wet skin. Like cera ve face lotion or that and on top of that few min later an spf that does NOT contain Avobenzone (also knows as butyl methoxydibenzoylmethane) and that is moisturizing, anti-aging and non-greasy/oily. ( Avene 50spf, EltaMD sheer broad spectrum spf50+, or Cera Ve hydrating mineral sunscreen, or Paula's choice resist youth hydrating SPF 50) - are just few examples). and after all that the primer and the foundation- Especially in the summer. A lot of steps but it is worth it and the sunspots will vanish especially if you use vit C or retinols at night... but again if you do then even more reasons to wear sunscreen to protect from blue light and uva, not just full-on sun exposure.
    that is not working when combined with minerals like zink or titanium in mineral foundations or mineral powders or spf lotions when re-applying...
    otherwise, you will end up with say: spf 40 lotion with Avobenzone and mineral powder spf 15 that when combined give you zero UVA protection.
    BTW YOUR HAIR COLOR IS DA BOMB!!! and wow you don't have much wrinkles. looking goooood!
    Nice video, thank you for your time and effort to put this together.
