Bivol is very skilled but he has much more to prove before his credentials can match that of gayweather or the Pacman. Ironically, Canelo was soundly defeated by Bivol, however, Canelo should be the lb for lb best boxer. Because Canelo fought in many weight divisions and lost to Bivol at LHW. It was Canelo who took the chance moving up, not Dmitry Bivol.

Bivol has the best left jab I've ever seen, and I've seen Robinson's, Liston's, Ali's, and Mayweather's.
Pivol’s parry jab is also top notch. He catches and shoots his own. He maximizes the most important punch in boxing while neutralizing it from the opponent. Azzuming he has a good chin I see Bivol beating them all. If an opponent wins, it will not be a convincing victory as Bivol is master boxer. Only things Bivol doesn’t do is duck his head nor fight dirty

Like all Eastern European boxers,especially from the former Soviet Union satellite states, these boxers come to fight and show courage to take a beating and to reciprocate in kind. They hardly clinch and hug, like American boxers do and are not afraid to slug it out with their opponents.
Joe Smith did a stupid act by lifting and slamming Bivol down.. it made the Russian upset and joe PAID for his dumb act . Smith got very frustrated because he could not land enough hits so by throwing Bivol to the canvas made him a POOR sport! I respect Bivol because he is a highly skilled boxer! That was not intentional. Smith is not a dirty fighter. On the other hand, Beterbiev is a dirty boxer. Bivol is going to fight him next. Bivol better beware of Beterbiev's rabbit punches. Nobody can take punches to the back of the head.

Smith looks a whole weight class bigger…He also threw at least one (often more) punches after every single bell. I would like to have seen the referee deduct a point for that at some stage. What if one of his late punches had resulted in a knockdown? Or worse?
