His name was J D Sumner,
not JD Sumners! He was listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the lowest bass singer in the world. J D was truely a legend.

Ri Di , I noticed a few things as well . Thanks for correcting J.D.'s name . The lady on this video said Shirley Enoch's part verbatim from another video documentary . Shirley Enoch is J.D.'s daughter and ex-wife of Ed Enoch , one of the QUARTET , They kept calling them J.D.'s band . When J.D. received the bus , He did not leave the logo of Elvis on it . It was replaced with , '' J.D. Sumner and the Stamps Quartet . The logo on the inside stayed the same . When the Stamps had it , I had many rides in it going to Gospel Concerts in Texas .

Dr. Red Duke ...and, as we all know, TCoB was a slogan (or motto), NOT the name of any band or group associated w EAP. 🙄

@@Messi_GQAT It was JD Sumner....sadly, they misspoke it in the video. Irritating, to say the least. 😏

I just purchased J.D.'s Stamps Sunglasses that Elvis originally designed. They are really sharp! They have J.D. on one side and Stamps on the other. Really nice!

They don’t really know what they’re talking about. Jd sumners? And they didn’t perform for 4-5 years. It was 7.
    Wow.

Actually you are also wrong. The imperials sang with Elvis until november of 1971. Then the stamps started with Elvis on the 26th of january of 1972 and continued until 26 of june 1977. So more or less five and a half years to the day.

I don't know how many buses Elvis had, but that is not the one that was owned by Elvis, and on display in Graceland. The one on display that I walked through across from Graceland, is no longer in Tennessee and is being garaged. I have seen it again many times, seen the title signed by Elvis and know for a fact it is the same bus sold by Elvis's estate. It is not for sale and is in good hands. Please do not ask as my friend has told me not to tell. One friend did rattle to the news and next day reporters showed up asking all kinds of questions but the owner said he didn't know anything about it. The bus (with the 'high' roof) is still in its original condition-just like it looked sitting across from Graceland. I am not saying the bus in this video was not owned by Elvis, but is not the one that was on display with a rear door on the left rear side. Just thought I would share it for those wondering what happened to the bus I refer to.

You either deaf or weren't listening. THe bus belonged to J.D. Sumner. Elvis gave him the cheque for the down payment. It did have a lot of evidence of their involvement with Elvis. Thats what was being said here.

You need to read more carefully or get some glasses. I said that is not the bus that was on display. I don't care one bit what was said or who THAT bus belong to or its history.
